SNOW GLOBE HEART (Song Lyrics)

It’s been a while since I wrote any song lyrics … I hope you enjoy these!

realistic christmas snow globe with christmas gift in it vector

It’s Christmas time around the world
The snow is gently falling
Homes ring out, much jubilation
Young and old in harmony

And as the hour is counting down
Slowly eyes, they find their sleep
Trying hard to stay wide awake
Midst final preparation

Chorus
Oh! See the snow falling upon your life
When all is well, purity covers strife
Little snowflakes, making your heart landscape
A joy to behold, no need to escape

But within the frosty shadows
A heart refuses to shine
Not even in the excitement
Of the night, can warmth, it smile

’Cause a little child, a child’s heart
Grown one, lost in memory
Doesn’t matter how old the years
When hearts are cold, love is gone

Chorus
Oh! See the snow falling upon your life
When all is well, purity covers strife
Little snowflakes, making your heart landscape
A joy to behold, no need to escape

So be embraced by heaven’s Gift
Though found in times of shaking
Surround your life, your loved ones too
Forever all season’s hope

Bridge
May love find all that is lost
May joy receive Her King
May peace line each footstep
Throughout earth, may all hearts sing

Chorus
Oh! See the snow falling upon your life
When all is well, purity covers strife
Little snowflakes, making your heart landscape
A joy to behold, no need to escape

COME, O THOU TRAVELER UNKNOWN

May this bless someone going through any trial/struggle

Genesis 32:24-32(KJV)

24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.

25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.

26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.

31 And as he passed over Penuel the sun rose upon him, and he halted upon his thigh.

32 Therefore the children of Israel eat not of the sinew which shrank, which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day: because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh in the sinew that shrank.

FINALLY HOME

cruise ship

Lost as a little girl of ten
Lost and a-wondering at sea
Unsure of what the future held
Unbeknownst He was holding me

Taken out of my family tree
Or at least that is how it felt
The same for years that came and went
Until before my Lord, I knelt

Never feeling like I fit in
At school, at home, in daily life
Living in memories now gone
It soon led to a world of strife

Who am I, where do I belong?
But unaware of these sad thoughts
They planned my days, shed tears at night
All the while, I was trapped and caught

Through many valleys, mountain climbs
Raging rivers and desert lands
This heart journeyed, not finding home
To plant my feet on rock, not sands

Praise God, I can now see the shore
In the distance, soft lights glowing
The rough journey is soon to end
I sense the relief of knowing

That with each beat of my child heart
Each breath that as a child I took
I never let go of being
That girl on the day my life shook

As on that ship, my life was tossed
For weeks and weeks so endlessly
As a daughter and wife, mother
I have still been waiting for me

To arrive at that safe harbor
With heart and emotions intact
Finally, they are soon to meet
Lost when life was once an extract

At last I can feel belonging
Or what it may feel like to be
Present in the present, not bound
And lost in false reality

And I can unpack those cases
That have been drifting out at sea
Unpack all of who I am now
Since then I’ve become a new me

The belongings that fill my heart
Will embrace love I’ve been given
And all that tried to cause me pain
Left in the depths, I’m forgiven

I’m still a child, a child of God
And my Father, He adores me
I may not cross the seas again
I’m safe, I’m here, He’s restored me

Six Years Without You

My Brother Miles.jpg

Six years today
Since you went away
The sweet memories
They do linger
Your name lives on
Upon new life
And every day
We all grow that much
Stronger

So much has changed
And you now have six
Adorable grandchildren
 With another on the way
None of whom
You were blessed to see
But I know your children
Will, when the time is right
Share of your love one day

You were a dear son
A cherished brother
Husband, father, father-in-law
And life goes on
Season after season
The farmers still remember
The ones you cared for
The ones whose day you brightened

One day tears will be turned to joy and song

Miles Fishing

Season in Season

Season in Season

In the autumn light aglow,
Life it fadeth, that we know,
Changes colour, green, red, brown,
To be buried underground.

Winter cometh, snow abounds,
Little ones burrow and sleep a-sound,
Know not they what is above,
New life forming, filled with love.

Then the springtime, it doth come,
Nature stirreth, to find blushing mum,
Beauty and colour, freshness and shy,
Some are born, some to die.

Summer radiates its beautiful heat,
The endless skies and clouds do meet,
Fruit it ripens, harvests sway,
Now and tomorrow, another day.

For A Dear One Hurting (Poem and/or Song Lyrics)

For a Dear One Hurting
There is someone who loves you
Yes someone that I know
Who loves and protects you
Wherever you may go

Because somebody is praying
Who loves you so dearly
Please trust even though
Each day your heart is teary

Life is like a precious flower
Where joy is hidden when it’s dark
For deep within the petals
Beauty lies dormant when it’s dark

Oh! Allow the warming of the Son
To open up your heart
And like that flower closed so tightly
Unfold so beautifully, each part

For when the warmth of the Saviour
Enters very deep within, be healed
Revealed is softness, pureness, completeness
And the outside forms the shield

Yes the blemishes of life
Still exist to our unopened eye
But when opened to the glorious Light
Are hidden from on high

Because our Saviour
All He sees, from heavenly places above
Is perfection and unparallel beauty
In the heart filled with Jesus’ love

So take your thoughts, your tears, your plans
From off what is happening to you
And trust the Lord who knows all
To reveal what He has planned for you

THE WINTERTIME OF LOVE (A Song of Longing and Hope)

The Wintertime of Love

Wintertime within my heart
A time of reflection, I know
Cold prevails sad memories
And footprints melt in the fallen snow

Chorus
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, no longer sin-driven
Hidden in the wintertime of love
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, awaiting heaven
Released through the seasons of His love

I see tears frozen from yesteryear
I feel the pain, it’s unrelieved
Joy trapped and crying for release
Wishing springtime to be forever freed

Chorus
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, no longer sin-driven
Hidden in the wintertime of love
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, awaiting heaven
Released through the seasons of His love

But there’s sunshine and sweet flowers blooming
In this life of mirrored dreams above
’Cause I’m hidden in the heart of my Saviour
I’m hidden in His heart of love

Chorus
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, no longer sin-driven
Hidden in the wintertime of love
Hidden, forgiven
Hidden, awaiting heaven
Released through the seasons of His love
