Sheltering in the shadow of His everlasting arms
I may feel defeated
But by faith I’ll carry on
‘Cause Jesus is alive and living
Way, way, way up yonder
And He’s sent the sweet, sweet Comforter
So with peace our hearts rest and ponder
No longer in the darkness do we wander

Oh! Jesus, Jesus, why did You love us so
The pain, the shame, the tears you wept
Could never fill our blunder
But to the cross, I believe the angels led
And washed the path before You
With promise of sweet victory
Amidst the blood-soaked flowers blue
And overflowing joy filled a heart so true
