A MOTHER’S LOVE (Song Lyrics)

mother child help

Chorus
When the lamp of love is no longer
A central part of your home
When the beating heart of a mother
Has left this world too soon
That’s when for every tear that falls
Of a young boy, or young girl within
Sweetest memories form a new life poem
Allowing broken hearts to sing

’Cause when is ever the right time
A child, no matter their age
Will understand their mother’s heart
And how she lived out her days

The first time your eyes made contact
With eyes of abandoned love
Never sensing what lay ahead
Or the sleepless night-time hours

Beaming over the wobbly steps
Soft treasures of little hands
All the funny faces between
All the words forming inside

The scraped knees, the tears, and the smiles
Bunny rugs, favourite toys
Adventures beyond heart’s desire
Prepared for school days ahead

The projects, best friends, and parties
Homework, and then changing days
Features, they’re coming and going
Clingy fingers separate

Through the days, the sulks, and the trials
Who could you always run too
Dear mother’s heart ’twas always there
Floury apron, cookies, love

Chorus
When the lamp of love is no longer
A central part of your home
When the beating heart of a mother
Has left this world too soon
That’s when for every tear that falls
Of a young boy, or young girl within
Sweetest memories form a new life poem
Allowing broken hearts to sing

Then one day you’re out on your own
School’s finished, career may start
Or study, or marriage, or move
She’s still Mother Dear to you

Disagreement may come between
Two lives are visibly bound
Many days may pass in silence
To mother, you’re still her child

So all I can say in closing
From someone whose loss is great
It doesn’t matter the years since
Parting, it happens, it’s real

Love her while you can, just let go
Of pain, or unforgiveness
Forgive, restore any love lost
Your mother’s heart beats for you

Take her hand in yours, remember
All the times she helped you through
Keep love’s memory locked deep down
May thinking of her bring a smile

Though it might not have always been
Harmony on every side
Maternal love’s like a flower
Be the fragrance of her heart

Chorus
When the lamp of love is no longer
A central part of your home
When the beating heart of a mother
Has left this world too soon
That’s when for every tear that falls
Of a young boy, or young girl within
Sweetest memories form a new life poem
Allowing broken hearts to sing

YOU FOUND ME BY THE WELL OF DESPAIR … Kathleen and My New Song

plant growing in desert

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

Sometimes You lovingly lead us
Away from all things that we know
Take us to places far away
You lead us, a new life to show

We think it’s for us, this leading
To lift us from adversity
But we reach the destination
And sense loss of security

And then You bring a hurting one
They meet us by the water’s edge
And all that You’ve ever shown us
Flows, and washes away pain’s hedge

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

We cry oh! Lord, why is this so
We’re struggling, we need help as well
Now there’s more brokenness to heal
But that’s when You say, ‘All is well’

I’ve already lifted you out
Out of the dark well of despair
Your purging is done, you are free
’Tis for them that I bought you here

And I will come, deliver them
Bring forth life from the seeds you’ve sown
And in your sweet obedience
Richer days, I will walk you home

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

LOVE IS YOUR REWARD (Song Lyrics)

cereals field ripe
Chorus
Acknowledge, know and praise Him
Trust, believe, love, give and serve
Search deep, and love for love’s sake
Knowing love is your reward
Love is your reward

When the cross lifts you
In Christ all things are possible
When the cross lifts you
All things become so wonderful

Let the cross lift you
Doesn’t matter your first vision
The cross of Jesus
Grows more beautiful each season

Through tears of trial
Life may seem so wounded, and blurred
No heart denial
Is strong enough to be unheard

Lift your weary arms
Reach up, embrace Him, and the cross
Feel sweet healing balms
Exchange life for every sad loss

And love will flow down
Love’s eyes will meet, and meld with yours
All pain, sorrow drown
Two hearts loved, bound for heaven’s shores

Chorus
Acknowledge, know and praise Him
Trust, believe, love, give and serve
Search deep, and love for love’s sake
Knowing love is your reward
Love is your reward

YOU MEAN MORE TO ME THAN MOTHER’S DAY (A Song for Anyone with a Sweet Mother’s Heart)

YOU MEAN MORE TO ME THAN MOTHERS DAY

O the sweetness of those words
You mean more to me than Mother’s Day
Touches deep, releases joy
Something only a dearest child could say

Chorus
Sometimes distance has its way
Sometimes others have their say
But still, my love survives in May
‘Cause you mean more to me than Mother’s Day
Yes, you mean more to me than Mother’s Day

Brings with them, sweet butterflies
Of fleeting memories from yesteryear
Interspersed with cherished love
Can sense their closeness, even if not near

Chorus
Sometimes distance has its way
Sometimes others have their say
But still, my love survives in May
‘Cause you mean more to me than Mother’s Day
Yes, you mean more to me than Mother’s Day

Brings a bouquet of sweet intent
And hugs that reach to eternity
Thankfulness for heaven’s gift
Preciousness with a face that’s so pretty

O may I feel your arms surround me
May I feel your breath upon me
May I feel your love towards me
Sweet child, sweet child, of mine

Chorus
Sometimes distance has its way
Sometimes others have their say
But still, my love survives in May
‘Cause you mean more to me than Mother’s Day
Yes, you mean more to me than Mother’s Day

AND NOW A PRAYER FOR ANYONE WITH A SWEET MOTHER’S HEART

YOU MEAN MORE TO ME THAN MOTHERS DAY (2)

Dearest Heavenly Father
I come before You to lift every Mother unto You
And even though Mother’s Day is a wordly affair
And every day should be Mother’s Day in a child’s heart
You are love
You know our need for love
So I lift all Mothers unto You
All who have never been Mothers
Yet have a Mothering heart
All who are with child at this very moment
But are on the verge of terminating that life
All who are with child at this very moment
But are fearful of losing that life
Due to complications, accidents, medications
All who have lost a child
All who have lost children
Whether miscarried
Stillborn
As an infant
A toddler
Child
Young teen
Teenager
Young adult
An adult
… to silence
All who have a Mothering heart
And through silent tears
Are unable to have children
But Lord
But with God
Nothing is impossible
All who are awaiting the news
Of a missing child
Desperate for news
Hoping, praying
That they will be returned
Safely into their nuturing arms
All who are unable to spend
Mother’s Day together
Due to distance
Sickness
Disagreements
Anger
Hurt
Pride
And any other Mother who due
To no fault of their own
Is just unable to share
This precious day
As is every day
Together
All Mothers who have lost their Mothers
As a child
And never knew them
As an adult
The grief is the same
Anyone who has lost their Mother
Those whose heart is breaking
Because their Mother is so sick
Fear worrying how they will cope without them
O Lord
O Lord
Please also bless those spending
Today together
May they be aware of the gift they have
May Your love abound
May Your love abound
Shed Your love abroad
May it enter deep within all hearts
Unto You Lord
Unto You Lord
Precious Lord
In Jesus Name I pray
Amen

FORGIVENESS IS BEAUTIFUL (SONG LYRICS)

stock photo of a hot air balloon 01 hd picture

Like summer days in winter
Like a spring day in fall
Like desert roses blooming
Forgiveness covers all

Forgiveness is beautiful
It lets the loving flow
Something we must ever do
Of this I surely know

Forgiveness is beautiful
It lets the healing flow
Down into the very depths
Where only faith can go

Chorus
So let your heart forgive
It may be hard to do
But with help from above
You’ll find all things made new

Forgiveness is beautiful
Releases all bondage
Ties that once held painfully
Severed from Satan’s rage

Forgiveness is beautiful
Meanders through each life
Allows God’s mercy and grace
To wash clean from all strife

Chorus
So let your heart forgive
It may be hard to do
But with help from above
You’ll find all things made new

Like summer days in winter
Like a spring day in fall
Like desert roses blooming
Forgiveness covers all

Rescued But Still Needy

Rescued But Still Needy

Maybe many of you know this
But the Lord showed me something today
That even when He draws near us
The troubles may still be in the way

Oh! I know all about walking in fire
And how He lovingly shields us within
But today when I read about Peter
Here lies more treasure for us to win

For you see when He cried out “Lord save me”
The precious Saviour, His hand did reach
But there’s a little word that comes soon after
The word, ‘when’ and oh! how this can teach

For immediately He did rescue him
But it wasn’t until into the boat, they were
That the boisterous seas a-calmed
And the waves with His peace did a-stir

Yes, He comes to you in troubles
And helps you to see them through
So don’t always expect instantaneous release
Just know that He’s holding and protecting you

“And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be Thou, bid me come unto Thee on the water.
And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped Him, saying, Of a truth Thou art the Son of God.”
Matthew 14:25-33 KJV

MY LIFE, IT PIERCED YOUR HEART (A Song of the Cross)

Calvary Silhoettte

I stood there at the crossroads
Not knowing which way to turn
Follow the wide, wide road to pleasure
Or step onto the narrow way and of You Jesus, learn

My heart, it beat so loudly
I’m sure the angels could hear
Everyone was moving so quickly
Oh! My soul, make a decision, you have nothing to fear

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

Nothing to fear on the narrow
Nothing to fear in Your steps
Just follow the light of Your glory
Fall into Your waiting arms and feel the love in its depths

But the wide road looks clearer
I see around the corner
The narrow way is dark and hidden
If I step on, I might not be able to go further

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

Then I heard a still small voice
And the Lord, He took my hand
He helped me take my very first step
Along the now lit, flower strewn way to the Promised Land

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

And my burdens, they lifted
As the path before me cleared
Now my eyes could beautifully see
And I listened to angelic songs, like I’d never heard

0h! Jesus, my dear Saviour
Thank you for rescuing me
I’m no longer at the world’s crossroads
Life and peace, love and joy have now drawn me eternally

Yes I pierced Your heart
And my back was turned on You
I totally ignored You
As I went about my day
But You breathed Your dying love
Upon me and opened up my heart
Allowing me to receive all things
All things You now impart
And so I thank you
From the bottom of this new, new heart
This heart You’ve washed and comforted
This heart that cries ‘Thou Art’
I cannot ever fathom
Why You would love me so
But I am ever thankful
Oh! Lord, I love you so
I just want You to know
I just want You, want You to know

YOU CHOSE ME

hands with hearts

I didn’t think I was good enough
Others had more worth
In my eyes I was second-class
But then You chose me

My ransom price You paid was priceless
I cannot fathom
Why would You want me, love me so
Yet You still chose me

I didn’t wear robes of righteousness
My face, void of joy
But You wrapped me in forgiveness
In love, You chose me

Jesus, in obedience You went
To the ready cross
Took my hand so I could witness
Why You did choose me

And together along Passion Road
At last I felt safe
But You were bowed with my burdens
Because You chose me

Squeezing my hand in love, I looked up
I couldn’t bear it
‘You don’t have to bear it, My child’
By faith you chose Me

To the cross, through the pain, through the night
The night-like hours, yes
I watched You mercifully die
Tears rolled, You chose me

You bore all my sins, past, future, now
To the cross, they nailed
But praise God, You defeated death
So glad I chose You

Jesus, You’re alive, yes, You’re alive
And now, so am I
All because You enabled me
That day to choose You

I no longer bear those sins of mine
Now they’re washed away
In rivers of unending grace
We chose each other

I didn’t think I was good enough
Others had more worth
In my eyes I was second-class
They’re lies, not the truth
