THE SHEEP OF YOUR PASTURE (Song Lyrics)

sheep sheep face face

You draw us into the heart of love
From a life of darkness, void of love
We hear a gentle whisper, a call
Finding ourselves face to face, we fall

Fall into life, never before breathed
Our restless hearts are no longer grieved
Hope arises, salvation is birthed
Moving through Spirit from cursed to blessed

Chorus
We are Your people
We are Your sheep
You lead us to green pasture
As You said You would
We’ll sing sweet praises
We’ll give You thanks
Oh! How we love You
Our future secure

A moment in time, already planned
Something so wonderful, something grand
You spoke, a new creature came alive
And then joy sprung forth, joy to revive

A journey begins, a babe in Christ
We learn of a pure Lamb sacrificed
Each day brings us a revelation
As we read Your Word, jubilation

Chorus
We are Your people
We are Your sheep
You lead us to green pasture
As You said You would
We’ll sing sweet praises
We’ll give You thanks
Oh! How we love You
Our future secure

Then come storms and trials, we question
Where we dwell in Your resurrection
Digging deeper Your light shines upon
You then show us that we have been won

And because of Jesus, we are safe
To live as good wheat, no longer chaff
All has been placed lovingly inside
Wholeness, healing, forgiveness inside

Chorus
We are Your people
We are Your sheep
You lead us to green pasture
As You said You would
We’ll sing sweet praises
We’ll give You thanks
Oh! How we love You
Our future secure

We’ll sing sweet praises
We’ll give You thanks
Oh! How we love You
Our future secure

WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THIS WORLD (Song Lyrics)

tree in fog at night

We are the light of this world
So why do we try and hide
We’re either followers of Jesus
Or being driven by the one who lied

Shine forth dear child
Shine forth
Let the warmth of your smile shine forth
Draw those in darkness to the One within
Embrace them with the Father’s love
His love
Embrace them with Father’s love

We are the light of this world
In the True Vine we abide
Bringing forth truth, and fruit in season
Witnessing boldly with Him by our side

Shine forth dear child
Shine forth
Let the warmth of your smile shine forth
Draw those in darkness to the One within
Embrace them with the Father’s love
His love
Embrace them with Father’s love

We are the light of this world
Because of the One who died
Lit from within, and cleansed from all sin
It is finished … It is finished, He cried

Shine forth dear child
Shine forth
Let the warmth of your smile shine forth
Draw those in darkness to the One within
Embrace them with the Father’s love
His love
Embrace them with Father’s love

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE, DEAR FRIEND

confusion bd

In this changing time of uncertainty
In these ever-changing days
Where do you seek your peace, oh!
Are you trusting in your own ways?

Do days seem longer, more hours to fill
Is the night even darker
Have you lost your closest love
Do you struggle, growing weaker

Food and essentials flying off the shelves
Told to stay at home and rest
Social distancing for all
The new feeling close that is best

Every country suffering differently
Still, everyone affected
Jobs lost, households torn apart
Some families reunited

Beaches and shopping centres, so much closed
The sun still shines, the waves crash
Online sales go through the roof
Endless wipes go out with the trash

Where do we go from here, dear friend
Where do we go from here
Will the air ever clear, dear friend
Will the air ever clear
What will we do when it’s over, dear friend
What will we do when it’s over
Will it ever be the same
Will it go back to normal
Sane
Will it ever go back to sane
Can you tell me
Do I really want to know
Will we ever know the same
No, I don’t think so

Longest queues ever for aid and supplies
And some don’t see eye to eye
Yet some seem unfazed, no fear
Why, have you ever wondered why

Homes are stockpiled, where shall we store it all
Will we use everything
Hearts are breaking and broken
Tears they flow, it’s so hard to sing

The streets echo their stillness, vacancy
No-one sees flashing neons
The air is so much purer
Snow-capped range no more illusions

Out of this deep sadness will come beauty
Somehow, somewhere, yes, some time
Dear friend, look up, see the truth
And take heart, through this uphill climb

One day when this is all over, look back
See how strong you have become
Know you are being held close
With help from above, you have won

Where do we go from here, dear friend
Where do we go from here
Will the air ever clear, dear friend
Will the air ever clear
What will we do when it’s over, dear friend
What will we do when it’s over
Will it ever be the same
Will it go back to normal
Sane
Will it ever go back to sane
Can you tell me
Do I really want to know
Will we ever know the same
No, I don’t think so

THE PRICE OF LOVE

the first communion holidays

Love’s price, no, we cannot comprehend
How much our Father loved us to send
Son Jesus, it hurt, He hid His face
Suffering sent, to die in our place

Before His death, Hosannas rang forth
Palm leaves were laid, as He headed north
Footsteps leading to both pain and joy
Passed through angelic voice to destroy

Some loved Him from overflowing hearts
Others despised Him, spoke fiery darts
Forward He went, with you on His mind
Came obediently, others to find

Till, at the appointed time, He was
With presence of His disciples ‘twas
At Bethany, a dear woman there
Drew close to pour ointment on His hair

And she poured pure sweetness on His head
Costly ointment on Him, she did shed
And the Lord knew the love in her heart
A place in His story did impart

Oh Lord! Help us to fragrance our lives
With the droplets fallen from your sides
Wash away all that is in darkness
And Your Power, Love, Sound Mind harness

We are so blessed to know only You
Covered in safety, not what is due
You’ve given so much, for us, no cost
Life, forgiveness, since Your blood was lost

TAKE OFF THAT CLOAK OF FEAR (Song Lyrics)

duck duck

Are you wearing a cloak of fear
The one that binds you to itself
Replace it with the cloak of peace
And feel the freedom for yourself

For God has not given to you
Fearful spirits of any kind
But in sweetest mercy, He gives
Spirits of power, love, sound mind

Chorus
Use the word of God
His infallible Sword
To cut yourself free
Throw it off
Throw it off
It doesn’t belong
To a child of God
To a child of God like thee
Like thee
To a child of God like thee

So stand on His word, don’t let go
Drink life offered, amazing grace
Lay on green pastures by still stream
Soon you’ll see the smile on His face

Cling to the Solid Rock so firm
Witness through the storms that will come
Waves of fear will try to destroy
And leave you feeling oh! so numb

Chorus
Use the word of God
His infallible Sword
To cut yourself free
Throw it off
Throw it off
It doesn’t belong
To a child of God
To a child of God like thee
Like thee
To a child of God like thee

Believe His promises always
He will never leave or forsake
He gave His all at Calvary
So you, His gifts of grace could take

So throw off that dark cloak of fear
Open wide your arms, lift them high
Be clothed in peace, not worldly peace
And on wings of peace you will fly

Bridge
No more burden, no more pain
No more feeling burden’s shame
Let His warming love embrace
Breathe in freedom’s perfect place
Just take off that cloak of fear
Throw away that cloak of fear

Chorus
Use the word of God
His infallible Sword
To cut yourself free
Throw it off
Throw it off
It doesn’t belong
To a child of God
To a child of God like thee
Like thee
To a child of God like thee

As A Child Believes

child girl portrait

As the world sails idly by
Thoughts to long lost childhood fly
I’m being brought into a sweet place of rest
Where only, yes only, Father knows best

Out of doubts, frustrations, fears
Of darkness as evening nears
Out of the continual rushing around
Into the refuge where His peace is found

I sense joy, father to child
He’s drawn me from oceans wild
A gentleness, softness surrounds me now
’Cause my heart, it surrendered to His plow

Here’s the thing, the stumbling block
That hid light on freedom’s lock
I kept saying, believing, ‘I believe’
But deep down, I couldn’t truly receive

Back to childlike faith I go
Sheltered under wings aglow
I know He will lead me from stone to stone
Through this new valley where others have flown

So many things I have learned
Blessed friendship flowers earned
And I’m so thankful for each step taken
For all who, lying thoughts, they have shaken

This my journey to belief
With new thoughts of pure relief
And like a child awaiting a party
I’m excited, ready, Father lead me

Decision Time

everyone has a choice

Can a sparrow count the cost
Can you understand what you’ve lost
Only by the Saviour’s hand
Only love abounding and firm
Listen carefully dear child, be Mine
The time is now, decision time

Look to the skies, ever changing
Fires and floods, not abating
Sickness taking man into bondage
Tears of grief overflowing sadness
You cannot run, nowhere to hide
The hour has come, decision time

Nothing you can do on your own
Each life will reap what is sown
No amount of money will lessen the load
Stores will dwindle, footsteps search the roads
O cry out to the One who will deliver
The minute has come, decision time

Is there an emptiness deep within
Has material gain softened the win
See, open your eyes, and ask to see
Hear, open your ears, and ask to hear
The clock is ticking, tic toc, tic toc
The second has come, decision time

Today, when … today, if you will hear His voice
That’s now, right now, and many are making that choice
Brokenness will be mended, and life breathed anew
Fear will be cast out, as only perfect love can do
It’s your time, come, lay at Jesus’ feet
Time to say, Jesus … Please remember me

PLEASE HUG THEM (My Prayer And Song For All Who Are Going Through Extreme Trials)

I dedicate this precious song to all who are trapped or feel like they are trapped in circumstances beyond their control. Particularly, surrounding the virus atm. I think of any areas of natural disaster, abuse, addictions, hunger, thirst, loneliness, homelessness, unemployment, sickness, loss of loved ones, any situation where you’ve lost all hope …

silhouette woman tree

PLEASE HUG THEM (for those who are hurting)
Tears are welling up inside
I see so much around me
Turmoil, sadness, unbelief
Too much for this heart to see

Children crying, some dying
Hunger, thirst, poverty
No love given, no love there
Vacant eyes stare distantly

Chorus
There are so many hurting
So many feeling hopeless
So many lost, abandoned
Sick and dying
And I’m too far away
So all I can do is pray
God, please hug your loved ones
Those in need, today
Please hug them Lord in Jesus’ name
And take their pain away

Women lost without their homes
Men despair without income
Families torn, separated
Floods, fires and storms make them numb

Watching death take victory
Among them that are so close
Feeling left behind and worthless
Overwhelmed by each new dose

Chorus
There are so many hurting
So many feeling hopeless
So many lost, abandoned
Sick and dying
And I’m too far away
So all I can do is pray
God, please hug your loved ones
Those in need, today
Please hug them Lord in Jesus’ name
And take their pain away

Bridge
Hug them as they’ve never been hugged before
Hug them till love opens heaven’s door
Hug them till their knees lower to the floor
And with joy they praise and adore

So that is why I cry now
And stand before You broken
Release them from emptiness
Let Love be heard and spoken

All Your creatures are groaning
And nothing can stay the same
Daily there is tragedy
Lord, reveal Your great Name

Chorus
There are so many hurting
So many feeling hopeless
So many lost, abandoned
Sick and dying
And I’m too far away
So all I can do is pray
God, please hug your loved ones
Those in need, today
Please hug them Lord in Jesus’ name
And take their pain away
And take their pain away

A CHRISTMAS MELODY (Song Lyrics)

christmas background sparkling decorated fir tree sketch

Have you ever stopped to wonder
This divine love, so pure in heart
Heaven-sent above asunder
Flowing from life, so torn apart

Pouring forth sweet adoration
Angels announce this mystery
A birth, Father’s jubilation
Knowing man could now be made free

Found in lowly manger’s holding
Bringing His way and truth and life
Causing hearts to break forth singing
Delivering from sin and strife

Oh what joy, the birth of Christ is
To all becoming sons of God
We lift praise to all that is His
All brought forth out of Jesse’s rod

Emmanuel, everlasting
From eternity past, You came
Oh! Fill us to overflowing
We’ll overcome, You overcame

Fill us with Holy Spirit love
Joy and peace and longsuffering
Gentleness, goodness, wings of dove
Faith, meekness, self-control leading

So think upon this priceless gift
This season of entwining hearts
May healing balm bind every rift
Salvation come, as He imparts

THE CHRISTMAS LOVE SONG

christmas decorations

O sweet Christmas love song
The most beautiful ever born
Your notes are sweeter than honey
With golden melody You adorn

You draw the lost hope out of darkness
You heal every broken heart
You seal each life with eternity
And mend all that’s torn apart

Can you feel new life, and faith birthing
Do you dream of being free
Can you hear the melodies echo
Have you found love’s remedy

Just listen to the Christmas love song
And let Christ’s joy be released
Break off the cold chains of hopelessness
Know that hopelessness has ceased

O This Christmas love song
This Christmas
Find yourself in Him
He was born
And your name was sung
Woven in angelic lullaby
Falling from heaven when His time was come

It’s the Christmas love song
The most beautiful ever sung
The notes are sweeter than honey
The chords bound before the world begun
