Whenever waves of hurt seem relentless, look to the shallows. A safe place in which to stand. Take your eyes off the problem and look to the gentleness and comforting melody of His healing word. Let it wash over you and may peace ever so reassuringly lap at your now steady feet.
This feeling of emptiness
Fills opened rivers
Rivers of dryness
Where tears have exhausted
The floodgates of time
Within this heart
Of such mixed emotion
And each shadow
Of melody in sadness
Sheds new light
On how very alone
I feel
I sought and thought
I had found
Love lost
Escaped
Returned once more
But alas
Mistaken
Love’s not found happiness
Unsettled
And leaves within me
Uncertainty
I’m shattered
And a wall surrounds my heart once more

He is worthy
An anchor in stormy seas
A lighthouse when all else is in darkness
A sunbeam shining through endless clouds
A rainbow of hope
Joy in the morning
A melody in the night
Rain in the drought
Sunshine in the flood
Shelter
Abundance
All-in-all
Freedom
Salvation
Love
Peace
Healer
Deliverer
Forgives all when forgiveness sought
Life
Mender of broken hearts
Full of mercies
And they are new every morning

Dewdrops on the roses
The sweetness of a bird call
Yes, He is mighty and I could go on forever …….
So break through your burdens and grasp the hand of the One who loves you.
