This feeling of emptiness
Fills opened rivers
Rivers of dryness
Where tears have exhausted
The floodgates of time
Within this heart
Of such mixed emotion
And each shadow
Of melody in sadness
Sheds new light
On how very alone
I feel
I sought and thought
I had found
Love lost
Escaped
Returned once more
But alas
Mistaken
Love’s not found happiness
Unsettled
And leaves within me
Uncertainty
I’m shattered
And a wall surrounds my heart once more

Thank you. This post came about as I feel that even though my father has returned, there is an inner sadness of longing in him to be elsewhere and hence I don’t completely feel like he has returned.
