RESTING IN THE STORM (A Song of Comfort)

RESTING IN THE STORM

When clouds of despair fill the air
When clouds of despondency hide
All that you thought had strengthened you
Turn to Jesus and in Him abide

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong

When you can’t see the danger ahead
When the light is no longer in view
Do not fear, do not tremble, believe
That God’s love mends a heart so blue

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong

The windows of your heart may shatter
The roof of your mind may cave in
So much inner turmoil, affliction
Yet with Jesus, there is peace within

Bridge
Together resting in the storm
You’ve been safe all along
Your heart is deeply hidden in the Heart of Love
View the storm through His eyes, His power

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong
