I’M WAITING BY THE POOL OF HEALING (Song Lyrics)

Dedicated to all who need a touch of pure love and healing from the only One who can truly heal. The Healer Himself. Our heavenly Father, in the beautiful name of Jesus, and by the power of the Holy Spirit …

blue water drops

Chorus
I’m waiting by the pool of healing
Waiting for someone to lift me in
Watching others, they go before me
They are healed and I’m waiting still; but
In my greatest need as the tears fall
Jesus can heal before I go in

So many years I’ve waited
Blindly trying many paths
Always hoping that it would be my turn
But alas, others had the joys and laughs

Day after day after day
Month after month after year
Wallowing in much concealed self-pity
Kept in bondage by hidden lies and fear

Feeling disheartened and sad
Wondering how to go on
Able to read of His grace and mercy
But still unable to sing my heart’s song

Chorus
I’m waiting by the pool of healing
Waiting for someone to lift me in
Watching others, they go before me
They are healed and I’m waiting still; but
In my greatest need as the tears fall
Jesus can heal before I go in

But then one day the light shone
Shone though it never had dimmed
The light was always upon His sweet word
And now my heart saw what my eyes had skimmed

I went to the healing pool
Again nothing had it changed
But there for the first time I met Jesus
Who’d come searching for me where I now laid

And as He said to this child
Child, do you want to be well
I answered and said, I’m listening dear Lord
Only You can lift from this place I fell

My heart listened
My eyes glistened
My Saviour lent down in love
I’m here for you now
And I’ve always been
I’ve just waited for you to look above

Rise, take up your bed and walk
And in His strength I could do
Something that years had prevented me from
Rising up, going forth into things new

Chorus
Oh! I waited by the pool of healing
Waited for someone to lift me in
Watched others, they went before me
They were healed and I no longer wait; ’cause
In my greatest need as the tears fell
Jesus healed me before I went in

Out of the Well of Despair

fountain well shaft shaft
He drew me from the well of despair
Drew me from filth and disrepair
And as He drew me higher still
Into His love, into His will
A new creation was blooming
And I’m no longer assuming
That no-one will ever love me
Want me, need me, choose me, love me
As I saw the walls of the well
The well into which my life fell
Take on the glow of my Saviour’s face
My heart wall crumbled, fell in place
Grows lighter with each passing day
As I am drawn further away
From life of torment, hopelessness
Now (beautifully) forming in His comeliness

Imagine yourself in this basket of love
As He lifts you up into His arms above
The closer you get to His wondrous, sweet face
Life will intensify in beauty and grace

UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS (A Song of Hope)

UNDERNEATH ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS

When oceans of emotions run so deep
When your tears wash away all joy inside
When the sands on the shoreline blink and cry
Oh! Come unto Him, all fears lay aside

Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms

When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
When each day seems like a deserted night
When the starlight fades in the battle dim
Oh! Come unto Him, let Him fight your fight

Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms

Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
Lift your eyes, weary child, oh! lift your eyes
Yes, you may struggle; but the battle’s won
Oh! Come unto Him, in Him your strength lies

Bridge
And He will catch you, never let you fall
Yes, Jesus loves you, cares for one, for all
His arms of love cannot, will not fail
Arms that once were held with crimson nail

So

Let the winds of time echo, stop the flow
Let His breath dry every falling tear
Always remember, each child who believes
Nighttime will bring blessings and daytime near

Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms

ETERNITY WILL NEVER BE LONG ENOUGH (A Song of Love)

cross jesus wood

And as I watched You hanging there
In all my sin, shame and despair
I saw all Father had You wear
Each breath harder on One so fair

Chorus
Eternity, eternity
Will never be long enough
There is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do
To show how much I’m in love with You

You bled for me, You bled for me
Each thorn soaked through at Calvary
The pain, it pierced upon that tree
Love poured out for eternity

Chorus
Eternity, eternity
Will never be long enough
There is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do
To show how much I’m in love with You

You could have left that place of woe
All heaven knew and now I know
But You didn’t breathe Your last flow
Until all darkness had to go

Chorus
Eternity, eternity
Will never be long enough
There is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do
To show how much I’m in love with You

In that beautiful show of love
When saints cried out and praised above
No need for me to push and shove
You’ll always wait for me, Love’s love

Chorus
Eternity, eternity
Will never be long enough
No, there is nothing I can say
There is nothing I can do
To show how much I’m in love with You

RESTING IN THE STORM (A Song of Comfort)

RESTING IN THE STORM

When clouds of despair fill the air
When clouds of despondency hide
All that you thought had strengthened you
Turn to Jesus and in Him abide

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong

When you can’t see the danger ahead
When the light is no longer in view
Do not fear, do not tremble, believe
That God’s love mends a heart so blue

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong

The windows of your heart may shatter
The roof of your mind may cave in
So much inner turmoil, affliction
Yet with Jesus, there is peace within

Bridge
Together resting in the storm
You’ve been safe all along
Your heart is deeply hidden in the Heart of Love
View the storm through His eyes, His power

Chorus
O resting in the storm, it’s dark, so dark
But His love will guide and keep you warm, so warm
Hear Him say, be at rest My child, My child, My child
My strength will keep you strong, so strong
Be at rest where you belong

COME FIND YOUR PLACE IN MY HEART LORD (A Song for Times of Blue)

Come Find a Place in My Heart

Deep within the depths of blue
I’m lost and struggling without You
The blue becomes the deepest black
And shades of yellow line life’s track

Chorus
Come find Your place in my heart Lord
A heart bruised and torn, forlorn
Come find Your place in my heart Lord
Fill the emptiness that pain has torn
Cover life’s weariness that I’ve worn

I feel so lost, abandoned
As each day’s mysteries, they crush
And with each breath I take, they find
Deeper shades of blue amidst the rush

Deep within the depths of blue
I’m lost and struggling without You
The blue becomes the deepest black
And shades of yellow line life’s track

Chorus
Come find Your place in my heart Lord
A heart bruised and torn, forlorn
Come find Your place in my heart Lord
Fill the emptiness that pain has torn
Cover life’s weariness that I’ve worn

How can this treasure called life
Drain the very life out of me
It did until grace and mercy
Wrapped my heart with Your symphony

O You found the place within my heart
A heart now healed and not forsaken
You found the place within my heart
Filled the emptiness darkness had taken
Replaced life’s weariness with joy given

And now the only blue remaining
Is the sweet echo of distant tears
Flowers and dreams sent from heaven
Sunny days, blue skies, no more fear

O sunny days, blues skies, no more fear

The Boat Called ‘Affliction’

The Boat Called 'Affliction'

Upon the wildest sea of life
Where dreams, reality are lashed by strife
Upon the crest of highest wave
Where sickness, pain, His sweetest hand gave
Upon tumult of darkest deep
Where storms, affliction rob of sleep
Upon the spinning, whirling foam
Where tears, despair … peace doth roam
Upon this terrible, terrible frame
This frame of life, where nothing’s the same
Day after day after night after day
This seafaring, weatherboard boat has its say
And this boat, so lovingly called ‘Affliction’
An experience, leads us … to His crucifixion
Never a storm out to sea hath so harkened
Called us to share in torment, so, so darkened
As the bed of affliction with a boat so secure
Given always with mercy, grace … eternally sure

I Don’t Know How I’m Feeling

I Don't Know How I'm FeelingI don’t know how I’m feeling
But I know that you do Lord
‘Cause You can see within my heart
Behind the screens of discord

And each and every day Lord
I come prepared to meet
You and Your love unchangeable
Upon the mercy seat

But there’s a shadow preventing me
From knowing the Truine God
It dampens my emotions
And depletes my flame for God

Lord please come and take this burden
This burden from my life’s flow
May Your hand direct each pulse
May Your joy cover every woe

And as the light descends upon
And scatters misty pain
Your love is shed abroad in my heart
I have naught but life to gain
