CHRISTMAS FOR THE BROKENHEARTED (A Song of Hope)

MILO

Chorus
When no-one calls to wish you a merry Christmas
When no-one’s there with you to share
When love is elusive, a long time a-coming
Come unto Me and know My care
Oh! Just come unto Me anytime, anywhere

Calling all who have no-one to trust
Calling all who have lost joy’s hope
Calling all whose friends have long gone
There’s a Christmas for the brokenhearted
No more will love be hidden, departed

Chorus
When no-one calls to wish you a merry Christmas
When no-one’s there with you to share
When love is elusive, a long time a-coming
Come unto Me and know My care
Oh! Just come unto Me anytime, anywhere

Never give up when you’re alone
Never give up when your heart’s cold
Never give up when sadness calls
Never give up, I won’t give up
There’s a Christmas for the brokenhearted
No more will love be hidden, departed

Chorus
When no-one calls to wish you a merry Christmas
When no-one’s there with you to share
When love is elusive, a long time a-coming
Come unto Me and know My care
Oh! Just come unto Me anytime, anywhere

Bridge
Oh! Even when the snow it falls
And settles upon your life that’s stalled
Look past the fragile side of the season
Know that you are loved
And that I am the reason
Yes, know that you are loved
And that I am the reason

Chorus
When no-one calls to wish you a merry Christmas
When no-one’s there with you to share
When love is elusive, a long time a-coming
Come unto Me and know My care
Oh! Just come unto Me anytime, anywhere

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE, DEAR FRIEND

confusion bd

In this changing time of uncertainty
In these ever-changing days
Where do you seek your peace, oh!
Are you trusting in your own ways?

Do days seem longer, more hours to fill
Is the night even darker
Have you lost your closest love
Do you struggle, growing weaker

Food and essentials flying off the shelves
Told to stay at home and rest
Social distancing for all
The new feeling close that is best

Every country suffering differently
Still, everyone affected
Jobs lost, households torn apart
Some families reunited

Beaches and shopping centres, so much closed
The sun still shines, the waves crash
Online sales go through the roof
Endless wipes go out with the trash

Where do we go from here, dear friend
Where do we go from here
Will the air ever clear, dear friend
Will the air ever clear
What will we do when it’s over, dear friend
What will we do when it’s over
Will it ever be the same
Will it go back to normal
Sane
Will it ever go back to sane
Can you tell me
Do I really want to know
Will we ever know the same
No, I don’t think so

Longest queues ever for aid and supplies
And some don’t see eye to eye
Yet some seem unfazed, no fear
Why, have you ever wondered why

Homes are stockpiled, where shall we store it all
Will we use everything
Hearts are breaking and broken
Tears they flow, it’s so hard to sing

The streets echo their stillness, vacancy
No-one sees flashing neons
The air is so much purer
Snow-capped range no more illusions

Out of this deep sadness will come beauty
Somehow, somewhere, yes, some time
Dear friend, look up, see the truth
And take heart, through this uphill climb

One day when this is all over, look back
See how strong you have become
Know you are being held close
With help from above, you have won

Where do we go from here, dear friend
Where do we go from here
Will the air ever clear, dear friend
Will the air ever clear
What will we do when it’s over, dear friend
What will we do when it’s over
Will it ever be the same
Will it go back to normal
Sane
Will it ever go back to sane
Can you tell me
Do I really want to know
Will we ever know the same
No, I don’t think so

LOOKING THROUGH THE STORM (Song Lyrics)

bench

Just a little while longer
And the grey seas will turn blue
The swirling waters will subside
And you’ll be made brand new

Don’t look behind you, My child
Don’t strain eyes to look ahead
Ride out the present’s wild moments
In strength of all I’ve said

And you’ll find rainbows hiding
Waiting sweetly just for you
When the shadows of yesterday
Are scattered through and through

Chorus
Looking through the storm
I see the sun is shining
The clouds they hurry past
God’s radiance is beaming

Can’t you see He’s reaching out for you
He’s reaching out for you

Don’t think your life’s forgotten
Don’t listen to stale, old lies
You can’t run, and hide forever
Cherishing those goodbyes

Try and surrender your heart
Let go of hurts and regrets
Know you are so loved and wanted
And He, never forgets

So come bow down before Him
He’ll lead your heart safely home
Father doesn’t like long goodbyes
Embrace the love He’s shown

Chorus
Looking through the storm
I see the sun is shining
The clouds they hurry past
God’s radiance is beaming

Can’t you see He’s reaching out for you
He’s reaching out for you

He’s reaching out for you

PUSHING THROUGH THE PAIN (Song Lyrics)

asian beauty

Chorus
Pushing through the pain, so weary
Pushing, feeling like you’re going nowhere
Pain’s tears are rolling, the only thing moving
Push through dear child
In God’s strength, you can

When someone you love isn’t with you
And vast oceans keep hearts apart
When wheels of pain gather momentum
You might feel hopeless; but look up

When a dream is not being fulfilled
And that hope, it has flown away
You’re not well enough to see it through
But it’s a new day, just look up

Pain can shatter vulnerable hearts
If not held together with love
Don’t let pain leave lasting legacies
Push through that sorrow, and look up

Chorus
Pushing through the pain, so weary
Pushing, feeling like you’re going nowhere
Pain’s tears are rolling, the only thing moving
Push through dear child
In God’s strength, you can

We all, in unexpected moments
Are trapped in emotional pain
Sometimes physical, spiritual too
Some totally immersed, look up

Pain hurts, buries deep beyond the core
It hides, and thinks no one’s watching
Then the notes of melancholy play
Isolating bonds, oh! look up

Frozen tears silence intensity
You cry till you can cry no more
But dear one, our Healer is so close
Find the strength to cry one more tear

Oh! Find the strength to cry one more tear

Chorus
Pushing through the pain, so weary
Pushing, feeling like you’re going nowhere
Pain’s tears are rolling, the only thing moving
Push through dear child
In God’s strength, you can

Eventide

sunset sunrise beach

No matter how dark the moment grows
How many walk away
No matter if all you can see is you
Don’t ever say
It’s no use
I can’t go on
Just know
Draw from depths once unknown
Buried far within
And know that there is One
Who loves you

Then when night-time
The night-time of your life
Draws near
Physically, mentally, spiritually
You’ll be able to say
This is me
I’m the one
This is my story
I survived
And

Deep beneath the still hush of eventide
A head rests on the Saviour’s beating heart
Going forth in the realm of distant dreams
And to Him who keeps each breath apart

It’s my head
My Saviour’s heart

There’s peace at eventide
And the gentle blush of Christ’s bride
Will be revealed
