Decision Time

everyone has a choice

Can a sparrow count the cost
Can you understand what you’ve lost
Only by the Saviour’s hand
Only love abounding and firm
Listen carefully dear child, be Mine
The time is now, decision time

Look to the skies, ever changing
Fires and floods, not abating
Sickness taking man into bondage
Tears of grief overflowing sadness
You cannot run, nowhere to hide
The hour has come, decision time

Nothing you can do on your own
Each life will reap what is sown
No amount of money will lessen the load
Stores will dwindle, footsteps search the roads
O cry out to the One who will deliver
The minute has come, decision time

Is there an emptiness deep within
Has material gain softened the win
See, open your eyes, and ask to see
Hear, open your ears, and ask to hear
The clock is ticking, tic toc, tic toc
The second has come, decision time

Today, when … today, if you will hear His voice
That’s now, right now, and many are making that choice
Brokenness will be mended, and life breathed anew
Fear will be cast out, as only perfect love can do
It’s your time, come, lay at Jesus’ feet
Time to say, Jesus … Please remember me

TEARS OF MERCY (Song Lyrics)

mirror effect

Looking in the mirror
Who is it that I see
Not always someone beautiful
Staring back at me

And I search for changes
Trying to find the joy
Make myself to smile, masking tears
They fall, drowning joy

Why is it difficult
To see me as You do
The image is so distorted
Please Lord, show me new

Let all the hidden pain
That’s etched so deep within
Rise to the surface, and be gone
Your child will then win

Chorus
Father, let Your tears of mercy cover mine
May they flow through the long-lost hurts, pain, and fears
Flow through valleys, bear much fruit upon the vine
Bringing life to replace my forgotten years
New life to replace all the joy quenching tears

Yes, this child will then win
I’ll see myself clearly
Clothed in Your perfect righteousness
And washed from my sin

I’ll look in the mirror
I’ll see Your reflection
Then I’ll finally see myself
Through Your salvation

My countenance will change
My face, it radiates
Seeing clearly for the first time
Just as Your Word states

That I am forgiven
In Christ I have it all
Through Father’s eyes of love, I see
Me, before the Fall

Chorus
Father, let Your tears of mercy cover mine
May they flow through the long-lost hurts, pain and fears
Flow through valleys, bear much fruit upon the vine
Bringing life to replace my forgotten years
Life to replace all of my forgotten years
New life to replace all the joy quenching tears

I Am Approved

Red Approved Stamp clip art

A surprise lesson …
So here’s what happened
Yesterday, I wasn’t
Feeling well
Had many dishes and pans
To clean and needed powder
Real soon

Waiting for someone
To go and buy this for me
The dishes, they kept
Growing, so I bravely
Drove down to the shop
Came home with all
But what I’d gone for

I didn’t even realize
Till I pulled in the drive
That I’d forgotten
What I went in for
And soon tears
Were rolling free
Poor, poor, poor ole me

So inside I went, started
Unpacking, then back to the car
I’ll try again
Made sure I went
To that aisle first
And picked up some
Chocolate at the end

Well there I was
At the checkout line
And my turn came
And all went smoothly
But then that dreaded
Moment came
Will I be approved?

I’m not sure if elsewhere
In this world
That ‘approved’
Is what it shows
But basically it means
Simply, take your things
You’re right to go

And as I stared back
And forth
Waiting for an answer
I started thinking
And that’s not that easy
With a foggy mind
About why I cared so

I was worried about
This new card, that
Had just been replaced
I knew I had activated it
But would a new pin
Be needed to release
The treasury of funds

And right at that very
Moment, I sensed the Lord
Show me the depths
Of that word, approve
‘You’re already approved
Don’t let it break you
My Son came to set you free’

In Christ I am
Approved, and no matter
What this life of mine
Or anybody tells me
Otherwise, in the
Shelter of His loving
Arms, I am approved

I am approved
Because He loves me
I am approved
Because He cares
I am approved
Because His word says so
May this, my heart always know

So I thank you Lord
For making me
Go to the shops in my
Battle, twice
And now as I sit eating lunch
The dishwasher, praise God
Is cleaning all my dishes

Oh! And there’s chocolate
Waiting for later … Smile

Oh! Oh! What a Journey

path bird grass
 Oh! Oh! What a journey
The Saviour on my heart lay
Lifted me from deepest depths
Shown me a brand new day

Took me from the darkest path
Which I believed had light
Took my hand and whispered
Come with me, don’t put up a fight

My path had plastic flowers aplenty
Music which I thought grand
Friends who weren’t even acquaintances
Blown away like the winds on the sand

And there were the highs and lows
And I thought I was at peace
But what I didn’t eternally know
Was that my feet were upon death’s grease

How can one know the Saviour
When one doesn’t even know He is needed
How can one’s heart be so broken
Unless one is ultimately defeated?

And so the years they passed and left
Left me in a dire situation
’Cause I just kept on going on
Not aware of my heart’s frustration

I grew older and my heart grew colder
But something stirred which was there
All the time, then Heaven’s rain came
And washed my heart and took away despair

Silently led, I was being led forth
To meet my Lord and Saviour
Through trials and tears and many fears
I now came face to face with His wonder

And then it happened. It happened
And I became a child of the living God
Still faced and am facing trials and tears
But fears have been trampled by God

Yes, what a precious journey
Oh! What a journey it’s been
Each day brings a new revelation
Of Father God, Jesus, Holy Spirit seen

Yes, I know this has no rhythm
This poem which could be a song
Because it’s full of much confusion
And now I see it has been all along

Confusion, confusion, confusion
And my typing is even confused
In spelling this word confusion
’Cause the enemy, he accused

But now I’m on this blessed path
This path of love and abundance
And no matter what the day brings
My healed heart can now sing and dance

I could go on and on and on
About the things He’s done for me
Sent sweet messages of love
Which I knew for me could they only be

Thank you for listening, reading
I pray that we’ll soon meet one day
Upon this path of blessedness
In Christ Jesus, the Life, the Truth, the Way

BEYOND THE REALMS OF COMPREHENSION (A Song for the Doubting)

outer space mist gases

It’s true, nothing is confusing
Even if you don’t understand
’Cause in six days He made it all
According to His wonderful plan

Oh! Are you having difficulty
Believing you are loved, wanted?
Is life too much to comprehend
Your heart wants to be enlightened?

Chorus
Beyond the realms of comprehension
His life, His death and resurrection
Bring to knees and sweet reflection
Beyond the realms of comprehension

Are you travelling all alone
Along life’s path of distraction?
Is your heart broken in pieces?
Only God has your salvation

Yes, you may feel lost, defeated
And things may seem backward, it’s true
But there is hope, your cry answered
And a heart of gold awaits you

Chorus
Beyond the realms of comprehension
His life, His death and resurrection
Bring to knees and sweet reflection
Beyond the realms of comprehension

May words, ‘Help me Lord’, be uttered
Shouted out or kept deep within
As long as you are surrendered
You’ll soon be sweet Jesus’ kin

Bridge
Oh! Beyond the realms of comprehension
Just rest in the knowledge that He knows all
It won’t matter if you falter
If your hand’s in His hand, you won’t fall

Chorus
Beyond the realms of comprehension
His life, His death and resurrection
Bring to knees and sweet reflection
Beyond the realms of comprehension
