Sweet Wanderings

Sweet Wanderings (2)

Wandering into the field of His love
Sweet rose petals laid down sacrificially
Sweet rose petals laced with His once shed blood
God’s mercy shed for you and for me

So bow down and pick up the petal
The one with your name etched upon
Hold it forever close to your heart
Bind it with your love or the chance will be gone

Wandering through the stream of His joy
In the sweet footsteps of the Solid Rock
A sweet foundation laced with strength from above
God’s grace shed upon the Shepherd’s flock

So bow down and see your reflection shining
In the water that flowed down from Love’s tree
Scatter your words of love and finish the sentence
“Do you love Me,” asks Jesus … times one, two, three

“He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou Me? Peter was grieved because He said unto him the third time, Lovest thou Me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things; Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed My sheep.” John 21:17 KJV

My Hope is Built

The Solid RockJesus is the Solid Rock amidst the waters of affliction. The stability of love, hope and healing.

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness.
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly trust in Jesus’ Name.

On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hide His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace.
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood.
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my Hope and Stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found.
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
