WHEN CHRISTMAS ISN’T WHITE

Two Little Christmas Trees

The trees are green
Softness of the late summer light
Falls, and reflects upon
Another day given
There’s silence at times
And then melodious triumph
Rises, and floods the sky
A cappella
Beauty resonates within the sweet notes
It’s Christmastime
But this Christmas isn’t white
The heat at times
Wraps itself, and bathes all
With copious body tears
Then storm clouds gather
And vicious bolts, and deafening thunder
Gallop across the sky
The children, with each new day
Try and contain their excitement
School winds down
Parties, friends, family
But this Christmas isn’t white
The shops are overcome with bustling
Bargains cry out to be bought
Money exchanges hands quicker than it’s earnt
Heavy loads of purchases find their way home
Countdown is on
Advent calendars reveal less and less
Closed doors
Festivity is born
Carols are playing
Hearts bubble up with joy
Presents chosen carefully
Are brightly wrapped
Named
And then it’s Christmas Eve
But this Christmas isn’t white
The children sleep
Or pretend to
The clock ticks forward
Finally, it’s dawn
Christmas dawn
And all through the morning
Love flows from each heart
Thankfulness sings
Memories sown
Laughter, merriment
Young and old alike
The day wears on
Bing Crosby sings
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
I am too
But this Christmas isn’t white
So tell me
How can one have Christmas
When Christmas isn’t white?
The tree baubles shine
Green, red, gold
Imaginary tinsel winds its way
Through the still branches
I have two little trees this year
And they are tipped with white
Oh! This Christmas may not be white
But these little trees
These little trees
They immerse this heart, this dreamy heart
With long ago childhood dreams
And so much snowy delight

THE FATHER’S LOVE (POEM/SONG LYRICS)

creative heartshaped 03 hd picture

There’s a place, so deep within
A place only God can fill
Loving me, repelling sin
Where He whispers ‘Peace, be still’

Love so treasured
Love so pure
Love filling all of me
Eddies day by day
And I’m so thankful
He prepared my heart
Before it beat its first heart beat
He’d given me a brand new start

It’s been hidden all my life
In darkness, lifeless despair
Not knowing in all my strife
My broken heart sought repair

It sung a different tune
To what it was fine tuned for
Joyful melodies immune
False crescendo begging more

Life, it tried to cover up
Growing emptiness shadows
Tears overflowed grief’s frail cup
Letting go, true life arose

Father drew me, He drew me
Out of false security
He drew me, yes, He drew me
Embroidered love, made me free

Love so treasured
Love so pure
Love filling all of me
Eddies day by day
And I’m so thankful
He prepared my heart
Before it beat its first heart beat
He’d given me a brand new start

Nothing can prepare God’s child
For the knowledge of His truth
No self-righteousness can hide
In beauty, imparted youth

Feel the love swept healing sword
On that once lost, broken heart
This heart now beats with fresh chord
Open door, closed, not to part

Words swoon in adoration
Incapable of praising
Too much for comprehension
So I just love, amazing

Love so treasured
Love so pure
Love filling all of me
Eddies day by day
And I’m so thankful
He prepared my heart
Before it beat its first heart beat
He’d given me a brand new start

BUBBLE UP JOY … MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE

Red White Christmas Gift and Ornaments in Snow

Bubble up
Oh! Bubble up
Bubble up my joy inside
’Tis Christmastime
’Tis Christmastime
I long for snow
There’s none to be found
But never mind
My song’s safe and sound
So I’ll sing
I’ll sing
Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas
May your heart bubble joy
Merry Christmas
May your heart bubble joy
And in every circumstance
With Love’s joy may your heart be bound
Be bound
With Love’s joy may your heart be bound

Repeat …

The Lord’s Cradle

For the next few weeks I will be re-posting from previous years entries. I pray that those who haven’t seen them will be blessed and that any re-reading them will also have their lives touched with joy.

The Lord's Cradle

You wrapped Your love in swaddling clothes
Deep within my heart
And sent with it joy, peace and hope
To a darkened, forlorn part

Yes, my heart and life were wandering
Oblivious of my plight
Until one divine, dark, lonely night
A lone star, to me, gave sight

Life eternal came with that bright light
To one who did not deserve
Oh! Wondrous gift that you have given me
Love’s cry was never heard

So unwrap that love, deep in my heart
May it fill me with pure thankfulness
And flow unto others in despair
Those in danger and hopelessness

And as the fullness of that gift
Sheds light within my days
May I be found in God’s temple
Sharing faith and all He says

My mother and my father
Anxiously look and search afar
I appear to have gone missing
But I’m following a perfect star

That perfect, guiding star
Leading me safely day by day
Light’s glory blessing my footsteps
And showing me His way

And when it’s time to be so still
And those close, just pass me by
I’ll remember my living Saviour
Whose life never passed most souls nigh

Then when all is perfect; but I think all is lost
That glorious, bright star appears once more
Lights others’ paths in emptiness
My words sharing His words, an endless store

I have given all that I have been given
I have lost all that He sacrificially lost
I have been found in Him who was crucified
Risen together, sharing love at all cost

HE LAY ROSE PETALS UPON MY HEART (A Song of A Healed Heart)

red heart petal
Chorus
He lay rose petals
Upon my heart
Lay them gently
Not far apart
Perfect love
In fragrance dwelt
Left no room
For hopelessness
’Cause with every secret
Of darkness, He dealt
Oh! Jesus, every secret
Of darkness, He felt

All I could see were the dark, dark thorns
That hurt and tore at my Saviour’s heart
But He placed beauty and love in me
He lay rose petals upon my heart

All I could see were the tears He shed
Mingled with crimson in night-time day
Shed for each life ever created
Washing our sins and sorrows away

Chorus
He lay rose petals
Upon my heart
Lay them gently
Not far apart
Perfect love
In fragrance dwelt
Left no room
For hopelessness
’Cause with every secret
Of darkness, He dealt
Oh! Jesus, every secret
Of darkness, He felt

All I could see was my reflection
In eyes crying for His Father’s love
I’m so sorry, my Lord, Redeemer
I lift praises ’cause You’re now above

All I could see was pure emotion
Of Someone who’d always cared for me
What happened, happened, didn’t have to
But if it hadn’t, where would I be?

Bridge
Rose petals upon my broken heart
Have brought a peace and softness
Beautiful shades of heaven’s joy, a
Rose petal garden captivated

Chorus
He lay rose petals
Upon my heart
Lay them gently
Not far apart
Perfect love
In fragrance dwelt
Left no room
For hopelessness
’Cause with every secret
Of darkness, He dealt
Oh! Jesus, every secret
Of darkness, He felt

Living Inwards, Looking Outwards

transparent glass fish tank and red goldfish 06 hd pictures

All around me I see life
It’s in the air I breathe
I can sense the wondrous dreams
But they’re trapped within the unseen

People gather around and I
Can only wonder and stare
Non-participation has for me
Left life running past outside

I’ve been here what seems like
Forever, forever watching, sad
I have the beauty of life within
But life, it just passes me by

And like a goldfish swimming round
And round and round and round
Smiles and joy and merriment
Belong to those through glass

With sunrise, surrounds become intense
The light reflects what I’m missing
With sunset, surrounds become muted
And emotions are readied for sleep

I thank the Lord for loved ones near
I pray for soon release
I’m like a goldfish swimming round
Unable to escape clear confines

But there is love within the bounds
For He has placed daily blessings
Shelter, nourishment and eyes to see
And boundaries for the present season

Yes this bowl, it has a name
And that would be chronic illness
Keeps me from life’s continual movement
But each breath is enough for me

IT’S CHRISTMAS MORNING (A Song)

Little Girl with Christmas Tree in the Snow

Dear Papa, dear papa
Wake up, wake up
It’s Christmas morning
And I hear the carollers calling
Singing and praising in the streets all aglow
Dear Papa, please sing and praise with me
And we’ll join in the street harmony
Oh! We’ll join in the street harmony

Dear Mama, dear mama
Wake up, wake up
It’s Christmas morning
And I’ve been awake all night
Wondering if there’s a present for me
Dear Mama, is there a present for me
Under the glistening Christmas tree
Oh! Under the glistening Christmas tree

Dear child, dear child
We’re awake, we’re awake
And yes, it’s Christmas morning
Let’s first bow our heads
Give thanks for everything we have
Dear child, let’s give thanks, then we’ll see
See what’s under that old Christmas tree
Oh! See what’s under that old Christmas tree

Sing Joy, Sing Joy

SING JOY, SING JOY
Rising forth with adulation
This heart’s where it’s meant to be
Praising God, my Lord and Saviour
Singing joy and love to Thee

Chorus
Sing joy, sing joy
Sing joy, my Saviour to Thee
Joy forever, lives forever
Rise up from bended knee

He loves me, He told me
His word He does confess
He sends His love, corners my heart
All my sorrow, He does address

Chorus
Sing joy, sing joy
Sing joy, my Saviour to Thee
Joy forever, lives forever
Rise up from bended knee

I see my face in His eyes of love
I see my face and cry
And through tears of long lost melody
My heart does lift Him high

Chorus
Sing joy, sing joy
Sing joy, my Saviour to Thee
Joy forever, lives forever
Rise up from bended knee

And so on eagle’s wings I soar
I hear Him whisper my name
Reaches forth, releases love
Grace, mercy, they covered my shame

Chorus
Sing joy, sing joy
Sing joy, my Saviour to Thee
Joy forever, lives forever
Rise up from bended knee

Rising forth with adulation
This heart’s where it’s meant to be
Praising God, my Lord and Saviour
Singing joy and love to Thee
