YOU FOUND ME BY THE WELL OF DESPAIR … Kathleen and My New Song

plant growing in desert

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

Sometimes You lovingly lead us
Away from all things that we know
Take us to places far away
You lead us, a new life to show

We think it’s for us, this leading
To lift us from adversity
But we reach the destination
And sense loss of security

And then You bring a hurting one
They meet us by the water’s edge
And all that You’ve ever shown us
Flows, and washes away pain’s hedge

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

We cry oh! Lord, why is this so
We’re struggling, we need help as well
Now there’s more brokenness to heal
But that’s when You say, ‘All is well’

I’ve already lifted you out
Out of the dark well of despair
Your purging is done, you are free
’Tis for them that I bought you here

And I will come, deliver them
Bring forth life from the seeds you’ve sown
And in your sweet obedience
Richer days, I will walk you home

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

YOU HAVE A FIRM FOUNDATION (Song Lyrics)

lamb looking into camera

You have a firm foundation, and wings under which to hide
May My love always hold you, and in Me may you abide

Sweet child of God, the walk may not be easy
And at times, you may feel like you are beaten
Brokenhearted one, do not lose sight of hope
No matter the stormy waves that do threaten

Come, be surrounded, by everlasting arms
Don’t ever doubt why it would, or should be so
Believe that your precious name is included
Lift weary feet, take My open hand, and go

You have a firm foundation, and wings under which to hide
May My love always hold you, and in Me may you abide

Come unto Me, You say. Come, let me heal you
If strength has gone, as a lamb, I’ll carry you
Fear must leave, My perfect love will cast it out
Old will be your tomorrow, today is new

Exchanging burdens, wiping tears from your face
The gift of repentance, found deep in your heart
With forever life, the strength to carry on
Melts with eternal love, given from the start

You have a firm foundation, and wings under which to hide
May My love always hold you, and in Me may you abide

MY LIFE, IT PIERCED YOUR HEART (A Song of the Cross)

Calvary Silhoettte

I stood there at the crossroads
Not knowing which way to turn
Follow the wide, wide road to pleasure
Or step onto the narrow way and of You Jesus, learn

My heart, it beat so loudly
I’m sure the angels could hear
Everyone was moving so quickly
Oh! My soul, make a decision, you have nothing to fear

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

Nothing to fear on the narrow
Nothing to fear in Your steps
Just follow the light of Your glory
Fall into Your waiting arms and feel the love in its depths

But the wide road looks clearer
I see around the corner
The narrow way is dark and hidden
If I step on, I might not be able to go further

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

Then I heard a still small voice
And the Lord, He took my hand
He helped me take my very first step
Along the now lit, flower strewn way to the Promised Land

Chorus
And as You hung there
You took a breath for me
You watched me turn away
It was more than I could bear
Deep within Your heart, a tear fell silently
But You knew that one day I would come to understand
How my life, it had pierced Your heart
Oh! How it had pierced Your heart
And sweet love then tore it apart

And my burdens, they lifted
As the path before me cleared
Now my eyes could beautifully see
And I listened to angelic songs, like I’d never heard

0h! Jesus, my dear Saviour
Thank you for rescuing me
I’m no longer at the world’s crossroads
Life and peace, love and joy have now drawn me eternally

Yes I pierced Your heart
And my back was turned on You
I totally ignored You
As I went about my day
But You breathed Your dying love
Upon me and opened up my heart
Allowing me to receive all things
All things You now impart
And so I thank you
From the bottom of this new, new heart
This heart You’ve washed and comforted
This heart that cries ‘Thou Art’
I cannot ever fathom
Why You would love me so
But I am ever thankful
Oh! Lord, I love you so
I just want You to know
I just want You, want You to know

YOU CHOSE ME

hands with hearts

I didn’t think I was good enough
Others had more worth
In my eyes I was second-class
But then You chose me

My ransom price You paid was priceless
I cannot fathom
Why would You want me, love me so
Yet You still chose me

I didn’t wear robes of righteousness
My face, void of joy
But You wrapped me in forgiveness
In love, You chose me

Jesus, in obedience You went
To the ready cross
Took my hand so I could witness
Why You did choose me

And together along Passion Road
At last I felt safe
But You were bowed with my burdens
Because You chose me

Squeezing my hand in love, I looked up
I couldn’t bear it
‘You don’t have to bear it, My child’
By faith you chose Me

To the cross, through the pain, through the night
The night-like hours, yes
I watched You mercifully die
Tears rolled, You chose me

You bore all my sins, past, future, now
To the cross, they nailed
But praise God, You defeated death
So glad I chose You

Jesus, You’re alive, yes, You’re alive
And now, so am I
All because You enabled me
That day to choose You

I no longer bear those sins of mine
Now they’re washed away
In rivers of unending grace
We chose each other

I didn’t think I was good enough
Others had more worth
In my eyes I was second-class
They’re lies, not the truth

LOVE DRAWS ME TO THE CROSS (Song Lyrics)

cross sunset silhouette

Chorus
I’m on my way to the cross
I’m on my way to the cross
The road is paved with trials
Valleys of sorrow, and mountains of strife
But love draws me to, joy draws me to
The cross of the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

I fought, I bought, I was lost
In a world of empty peace
Didn’t know I was so lost
Till I saw where Love had stood

I heard Jesus was coming
By then, He’d opened my eyes
Falling into outstretched arms
I let go, I’m free, now found

Every day the cross calls me
Father is drawing my heart
To abide in His shadow
The Way, the Truth, and the Life

Chorus
I’m on my way to the cross
I’m on my way to the cross
The road is paved with trials
Valleys of sorrow, and mountains of strife
But love draws me to, joy draws me to
The cross of the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

JUST REST IN WHAT I’VE BROUGHT YOU THROUGH (SONG LYRICS)

hi leather child lovely highdefinition picture

Lord, I’m feeling overwhelmed
So many thoughts confound me
Deliver me as You said You would
Please forgive my unbelief, and me

Chorus
Just rest in what I’ve brought you through
Oh! Child, just rest, you’re free
The burdens I’ve delivered you from
I’ve exchanged, and given you Me

Lord, I still feel the battle
The fire grows hotter each day
So how can I stand much more of this
When I’m empty, nothing left to pray

Chorus
Just rest in what I’ve brought you through
Oh! Child, just rest, you’re free
The burdens I’ve delivered you from
I’ve exchanged and given you Me

Then suddenly I see light
Illuminating my words
It’s not what I am feeling oh no!
They’re lies on wings of wandering birds

I see all that You’ve given
And the depths You’ve drawn me from
At last I understand what You mean
I must rest in our Father’s Kingdom

Many storms have passed me by
You’ve sheltered me completely
I’m sorry Lord, I tend to forget
About them, when a new one I see

Lord, may Your love embrace me
Help me forever let go
Help me rest in all You’ve brought me through
Cradled in peace, I’ll go forth and sow

I’ve struggled to win the fight
Projecting calamity
Living in what might, just might happen
Instead of joying in liberty

Chorus
I’m resting in what You’ve brought me through
As Your child, I rest, I’m free
Burdens now gone, I’m delivered
Believed , received, and in You, I see me

A BROKEN WING MELODY

cute cartoon background 01 vector

How will this broken wing ever fly
If I just give up, don’t even try
I cry out, Father, please mend my wing
I’ll soar on high, and my heart will sing

Ah! This broken wing has me downcast
My eyes wander on circumstance past
Must lift my head, sad eyes heavenward
To see Jesus, as You said I would

It feels so very bound with life’s care
And all who see me, wander, and stare
For I’m dragging lifeless melodies
This stone cold heart, only Father sees

But my wing isn’t really broken
And no-one sees what I have spoken
’Tis only a mind, believing lies
When a heart, all out, it tries and tries

How will this broken wing ever fly
If I just give up, don’t even try
I cry out, Father, please mend my wing
I’ll soar on high, and my heart will sing

I do want to be so mended though
So off to the prayer closet I go
Father, forgive me my brokenness
I will, and think nothing of you less

I see you floundering upon earth
I see your heart struggles to find worth
You are trying to fly on old wings
You have yet to receive what love brings

I’m going to open your heart now
Just believe in Me, and don’t ask how
Going to open those pretty eyes
Open closed off ears, and cast out lies

The prison door no more holds captive
Look to Me, my child, look and you’ll live
Reach forth, spread both wings, and learn to fly
Beat those new wings, freedom’s in the sky

Yes, this broken wing is healed to fly
I didn’t give up, I daily try
I cried out, Father, please mend my wing
He did, I soar, my heart can now sing

Oh! He healed this broken wing of mine
Healed it eternal, so I can shine
Fly, and scatter precious seeds on high
Comfort the suffering, and tears dry

THE ROCK WAS STRUCK

water over ice

The Rock was struck, and out flew living water
The Rock was struck, and heaven’s treasures released
How wonderful to the dry parchèd pilgrim
Struggling to lift foot, because pride was increased

The Rock was struck, oh mercy and grace floweth
Man brought low; reluctant eyes summoned above
Heart whining; but body, provision kept whole
Refreshing streams soon quenched, abundant in love

The Rock was struck
The people cried
No more on self
Could one rely
The Rock was struck
But was it so
’Twas commanded
Say to this Rock
Anger prevailed
And promised land
Past veiled eyes sailed

The Rock was struck, instant relief was brought forth
But after awhile, stiff neck, hardened heart whined
We’re all the same, when one truly considers
Are we satisfied, or are we all just blind

The Rock was struck for you, upon Calvary’s tree
The Rock was struck for me, upon Calvary’s tree
This time though, out poured living water and life
Today, hear the truth people, and be set free

The Rock was struck
The people cried
No more on self
Could one rely
The Rock was struck
But was it so
’Twas commanded
Repent, believe
Sorrow prevailed
And promised land
His life, inhaled

1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.

2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

3 And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the Lord!

4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the Lord into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?

5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.

7 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

9 And Moses took the rod from before the Lord, as He commanded him.

10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

12 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the Lord, and he was sanctified in them.
