I Thank You My Heavenly Father (A Prayer)

cropped-024.jpg

I thank You, my heavenly Father
For the physical and spiritual food
Wherewith You will feed me this day
I thank you for holding me in the palm of Your hand
I thank you that even though the wounds have healed
On Jesus, they continue to bleed
For the souls of those who walk in darkness
(The cross and His shed blood are there for all)
I thank you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made
And that You, and only You, know everything about me
There is no bondage within me that You cannot break
There is no sickness hidden within me that You cannot heal
There is no sin within me that You cannot bring into the light
And forgive, once I am given the discernment to ask
For forgiveness upon realizing the depth and hideousness
Of that sin, those sins
Thank you for each and every breath
Mine and those of my loved ones
Thank you for the food on our table
Please bless it to our bodies
Please feed those who are hungry
The clothes on our backs
Please cover and wrap those who are naked
The shelter of our homes
Please cover and protect us this day, this night
Please cover those who are homeless, wandering
For our employment
Please open doors for those who desperately need
Or truly want to work and provide for themselves, loved ones
The love of family and friends
Please send love to those who are hurting
Who can walk along side them and catch their tears
Thank you bringing us through fiery trials
Unscathed
Thank you for being in our lives, always
Once we acknowledge You and that we need You
You are God and God alone
Almighty, awesome, perfect
Ever living, ever giving
Your hand bears endless gifts
Your heart shares endless love
Your life gives endless life
Through Jesus Christ our Saviour
Father, I lift all unto You
Who are suffering at this very moment
Who have lost loved ones
Who are awaiting news of loved ones
Who don’t know which way to turn
Who have turned and can’t face what meets them
Who are unwell, dying
Those who are well and don’t know that they are sick
Physically, spiritually
Those who don’t know You
Save them
Do know You
Keep them
Those who are being persecuted
Persecuted for Thy Name’s sake
Those who are feeling abandoned
Are abandoned, hopeless
Feeling unworthy, unloved
The poor and the needy
The widows and the orphans
The addicted, the lost
The afflicted, the abused
Man and animal, abused
Abusing
Forgive them, forgive me
Be glorified, magnified
May Thy Name be lifted on high
Father, I love You
You are mine and I am Yours
For Your precious Word says so
I commit this day to You
Please walk me through the wilderness
The dry river bed
Into the place of joy everlasting
In Jesus Name
Amen

He Lives, We Die

purple water lily

The stone which hid, is rolled away
Jesus has risen; we are watching, swaying, and cry
Help us comprehend, dear Lord
He lives, the price, beyond our means was paid

He lives, hallelujah, we live
And because He lives, so must we die
Die to self, it’s our turn now
But all glory, He has blessed us to live in Christ

Surrender all your right to self
Grind emotions, thoughts and plans prepared
Let your Saviour’s power prevail in you
A new creation, tears and repentance succeed

Standing in the power of His mighty, precious Son
Escape the hold of earthly things
And acquaintances that beckon forth
Listen for that soft, small voice in turmoil that unfolds

Jesus calls us, gently leads us
We have no right or hold on the old life
And just as a flower bursts forth with sweet newness
In pain and anguish, we are pushed out of hardness

Thank you for a life refreshed
Thank you for a life eternal
Thank you that you died, without surrender
We sing praises to our ever-loving Father

The Little Seed With the Biggest Heart (An Easter Poem for All Ages)

symphony butterfly tree vector

The little seed slept by itself
Not sure where life would lead
Little did it know that one day soon
It would be planted, and humanity freed

That little seed, all bound and safe
Beneath the crumbling earth
Held captive in its memory
The story of our dear Saviour’s birth

It had laid silently, watching on
As days and years passed by
Awaiting its moment of beautiful glory
Before the world, when every heart would sigh

You see, that little, humble seed
Would soon be sown and grow
Into the most precious tree
Upon which love would eternally flow

Up and up and up it grew
And no-one paid attention
But that little seed with the biggest heart
Soon had a purpose within the story of salvation

’Cause it was cut down in its prime
And formed into the well known cross
Carrying mankind’s sins upon it
Feeling the pain of wounded blood loss

But even though that little seed
That became the most famous tree
Felt none of the turmoil, torture, rejection
It held in its arms … sweet mercy and grace for me

So as you remember what you’ve been shown
How Jesus died for everyone
Please know that only in receiving His forgiveness
Will your life be free, and victory won

A Wound Too Deep

william wall painting oil on canvas

For many a day
Life is cushioned
Soft green grass
We are disillusioned

Travelling along
No hardships or sadness
We walk towards
Our dreams more or less

And then the road hardens
Slight problems appear
The road becomes rocky
And in comes the fear

What should have been gladness
And fun we are told
Suddenly we stumble
Our footsteps lose hold

Cracks and crevices
Dangerous terrain
We cannot move forward
Without any pain

The road is too dangerous
The gap is too wide
How will we reach our goal
Out of reach – the other side

The wound is too deep
We need help to go on
And then our dear Saviour
Sheds His blood, God’s Son

His blood fills the deepness
Heals the wound from within
And now we continue
Praise the Lord
To heavenly Canaan

For once again the road is soft
He holds our hand, leads the way
Brings us home
And on His heart
We now lay

A Beautiful Story

I have decided to post some of my earlier work. I hope you enjoy them.

spring snowdrop

Softly as a pure, white dove
The snowflakes gently fell
A little lamb was given us
On that crisp, winter morn

And as He grew, new life was found
Found deep within the earth
Petals beautifully did spring forth
And not a blemish spoiled

Fresh sounds of song rolled off the leaves
Of fragrance laced with heaven
And that dear lamb, God’s chosen One
Was led toward that tree

The tree of death, the tree of life
And today this is given thee
To die with Christ, be born again
Never again be led astray

The wondrous Shepherd of mankind
With grace whispers your name
Come forth, come forth
From darkness holding, life begins with Me

Take My hand and walk beside Me
Bring your heart to pastures green
Living waters will cleanse, restore you
Open the gate that is nailed with My pain
Your shame is taken
My love is given
Silent knocking on your heart no more

It’s Raining His Tears

valentine8217s day water drops hearts vector

It’s raining
I hear His small, still voice
I’m crying for my nations
I’m crying, it’s My choice

I’m crying, you won’t listen
I’m crying, you’ve left My side
I’m crying, no one seems to care
Look, My arms are open wide

These tears are shed for many
The lost, the sick, those in pain
The rain, it is getting heavier
Don’t let My love, My love, wane

The rainbow has been hidden
These tears, I cry for you
I’m crying to cleanse all who are dying
I’m crying, let Me wash you anew

The falling drops, they lessen
But My tears will continue to fall
Fall until you grasp these words
Don’t hide your heart behind fear’s wall

Let these tears, let them take away
All that is holding you back
May they bring fresh love, peace and sweet joy
And in Me, fulfill all you lack

A Love Letter

Christ on the cross
 One day soon
So very soon
I will return
And take My
Waiting people home
You may be discouraged
In pain
All by yourself
Draw hope
And find Me
I’m close by
Don’t think
I don’t care
Don’t wonder why
People say to do this
Do that and
You’ll be accepted
No, just trust Me
And as a child
Receive
Receive
Life’s here for the taking
Forgiveness of sins
And love to mend
Every heart breaking
Yes, one day soon
I will return
No one; but the Father
Knows the day or the hour
So today
Today
Bow no longer
To darkness
Let new life
Break forth
As you acknowledge
The cross
All that I died for
The life of Me drained
Drained out for you
And each cell bore a name
Yes, your name was there
I remember it clearly
Don’t ever believe
I never loved you enough
Loved you enough
Or failed to care
I want you to know
That the way
Has been paved
For you to return
To your heavenly Father
No longer separated
No longer turned away
Just loved
Accepted
Wanted
Needed
Please listen
I say this again
I love you, My child
From beginning to end

Love Jesus

ALL BEING WELL (Song Lyrics)

IMG_8105.JPG

Chorus
I’ll see you in the morning
All being well
When darkness lifts
And new light shines
Upon the day to come
Yes, I’ll see you in the morning
All being well

How do you tell
A loved one whom you love
That only in Christ Jesus
Will all be well

How do you tell
A loved one whom you love
That only in forgiveness
Will all be well

How do you tell
A loved one whom you love
That only through heaven’s Love
Will all be well

Chorus
I’ll see you in the morning
All being well
When darkness lifts
And new light shines
Upon the day to come
Yes, I’ll see you in the morning
All being well

Only in salvation
Only in His pure, free love
Only believing and receiving truth
Will you be well

Only in the Shepherd
Only as one of His sheep
Only allowing yourself to be led
Will you be well

All will be well
In the morning bright
Dear sweet loved one
May the Lord speak to you this night

BY FAITH, I’LL CARRY ON (A Song of Encouragement)

BY FAITH, I'LL CARRY ON

Sheltering in the shadow of His everlasting arms
I may feel defeated
But by faith I’ll carry on
‘Cause Jesus is alive and living
Way, way, way up yonder
And He’s sent the sweet, sweet Comforter
So with peace our hearts rest and ponder
No longer in the darkness do we wander

Oh! Jesus, Jesus, why did You love us so
The pain, the shame, the tears you wept
Could never fill our blunder
But to the cross, I believe the angels led
And washed the path before You
With promise of sweet victory
Amidst the blood-soaked flowers blue
And overflowing joy filled a heart so true

Chorus
Oh! I’m sheltering in the shadows of His everlasting arms
I may feel defeated
But by faith I’ll carry on
Yes by faith, I’ll carry on

You spread Your arms and encased the world
All sin was laid upon You
And even though the cross, it held You there
Your heart crushed and shed nothing belonging
Oh! Dear Carpenter, the wounds were deep
Your anguish reached the heavens
Releasing love back to those who weep
Those who the darkness can no longer keep

Chorus
Oh! I’m sheltering in the shadows of His everlasting arms
I may feel defeated
But by faith I’ll carry on
Yes by faith, I’ll carry on
