THE ROCK WAS STRUCK

water over ice

The Rock was struck, and out flew living water
The Rock was struck, and heaven’s treasures released
How wonderful to the dry parchèd pilgrim
Struggling to lift foot, because pride was increased

The Rock was struck, oh mercy and grace floweth
Man brought low; reluctant eyes summoned above
Heart whining; but body, provision kept whole
Refreshing streams soon quenched, abundant in love

The Rock was struck
The people cried
No more on self
Could one rely
The Rock was struck
But was it so
’Twas commanded
Say to this Rock
Anger prevailed
And promised land
Past veiled eyes sailed

The Rock was struck, instant relief was brought forth
But after awhile, stiff neck, hardened heart whined
We’re all the same, when one truly considers
Are we satisfied, or are we all just blind

The Rock was struck for you, upon Calvary’s tree
The Rock was struck for me, upon Calvary’s tree
This time though, out poured living water and life
Today, hear the truth people, and be set free

The Rock was struck
The people cried
No more on self
Could one rely
The Rock was struck
But was it so
’Twas commanded
Repent, believe
Sorrow prevailed
And promised land
His life, inhaled

1 Then came the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, into the desert of Zin in the first month: and the people abode in Kadesh; and Miriam died there, and was buried there.

2 And there was no water for the congregation: and they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron.

3 And the people chode with Moses, and spake, saying, Would God that we had died when our brethren died before the Lord!

4 And why have ye brought up the congregation of the Lord into this wilderness, that we and our cattle should die there?

5 And wherefore have ye made us to come up out of Egypt, to bring us in unto this evil place? it is no place of seed, or of figs, or of vines, or of pomegranates; neither is there any water to drink.

6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.

7 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

8 Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.

9 And Moses took the rod from before the Lord, as He commanded him.

10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, Hear now, ye rebels; must we fetch you water out of this rock?

11 And Moses lifted up his hand, and with his rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.

12 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed Me not, to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.

13 This is the water of Meribah; because the children of Israel strove with the Lord, and he was sanctified in them.

Numbers 20:1-13

GOODBYE FOR NOW, DEAR FRIEND

Glowing butterflies with sparkle stars

Sometimes in life
There comes across your path
A sparkling jewel from heaven
Words of wisdom
Comforting arms
Even when silence is golden
Knowing they are there
And when they say your name
You remember a voice
Distinctly their own
Showered with heaven’s love

YOUR ASSISTANCE IN MY RESISTANCE

lifebuoy

I look around
Where, where am I going?
I can’t hear Your voice
I don’t seem to be growing
Oh! Lord, come rescue me
Inside my head I’m groaning
Fed up with merry-go-round existence
And You’re growing weary of my resistance??
Come rescue me

Son, daughter, oh! thou searching one
You’re rescued so stop looking back
Reach your hand a little further
I’m waiting, My heart is not slack
I’m waiting, there’s nothing I lack
No, there’s nothing, nothing I lack

Where are You Lord?
Your footsteps are hidden
I’m crying inside
And the tears are forbidden
Oh! Lord come rescue me
I’m trapped, and so guilt-ridden
How can I keep surviving the distance?
Only through Your love, power and assistance
Come rescue me

Son, daughter, oh! thou searching one
You’re rescued so stop looking back
Reach your hand a little further
I’m waiting, My heart is not slack
I’m waiting, there’s nothing I lack
No, there’s nothing, nothing I lack

So You are here?
Really, truly with me?
Lord, the cloud is gone
Enabling me to now see
Oh! Lord, You rescued me
And in You I can now be
More faithful in my love and persistence
And hear Your sweet voice at heaven’s insistence

At peace as the sun scatters all my fears
And new revelation dries all of my tears
You rescued me, You rescued me
Reached down, and I reached up
But only because, and only because
Your hand lifted mine to entwine with Yours
And turned my mourning into jubilant cheers
Turned my mourning into jubilant cheers

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV

I’LL NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN (A Song of Hope and Love and Peace) … My Rendition

I'LL NEVER BE ALONE AGAIN

Chorus
My love, my love
You captivated my heart
You drew from above
Shone light in my pain
And whispered, My child, My child
You never need to fear again
You’ll never be alone again

Oh! Lord are You there?
Oh! Lord do You care?
I can’t see You
How can I possibly find You
If my eyes are closed and looking elsewhere?

Chorus
My love, my love
You captivated my heart
You drew from above
Shone light in my pain
And whispered, My child, My child
You never need to fear again
You’ll never be alone again

Oh! Lord I need help
Oh! Lord I need help
I can’t hear You
How can I possibly know You
When my ears are blocked with the world’s care?

Chorus
My love, my love
You captivated my heart
You drew from above
Shone light in my pain
And whispered, My child, My child
You never need to fear again
You’ll never be alone again

Oh! Lord where are you?
Oh! Lord here I am
I can’t feel You
How can I possibly trust You
When my heart is so cold and drawn elsewhere?

Chorus
My love, my love
You captivated my heart
You drew from above
Shone light in my pain
And whispered, My child, My child
You never need to fear again
You’ll never be alone again

Oh! Lord I do hurt
Oh! Lord I’m afraid
No fragrance abounds
How can I possibly sense You
When each breath is clothed in darkness’s fear?

Bridge
Blue emotions unveiled before me
Tears clear a way for the peace of Your steps
Now I know that my Saviour adores me
And forever I’m wonderfully kept

Chorus
My love, my love
You captivated my heart
You drew from above
Shone light in my pain
And I whispered, dear Lord
I will never fear again
I’ll never be alone again
No, I’ll never be alone again

YOU FOUND ME BY THE WELL OF DESPAIR (Song Lyrics)

plant growing in desert

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

Sometimes You lovingly lead us
Away from all things that we know
Take us to places far away
You lead us, a new life to show

We think it’s for us, this leading
To lift us from adversity
But we reach the destination
And sense loss of security

And then You bring a hurting one
They meet us by the water’s edge
And all that You’ve ever shown us
Flows, and washes away pain’s hedge

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

We cry oh! Lord, why is this so
We’re struggling, we need help as well
Now there’s more brokenness to heal
But that’s when You say, ‘All is well’

I’ve already lifted you out
Out of the dark well of despair
Your purging is done, you are free
’Tis for them that I bought you here

And I will come, deliver them
Bring forth life from the seeds you’ve sown
And in your sweet obedience
Richer days, I will walk you home

Chorus
You found me by the well of despair
Alone and thirsty, You found me there
Oh! Jesus, You sought me out
You left heaven to find me
I thought every day would be the same
But You came, gently whispering my name

A LITTLE CHILD’S SONG

vector 3 lovely children

A little child, I am
I take my Father’s hand
He leads me where, I do not know
Nor where I understand

But I do know that I am safe
And will be comforted
For He has promised always
With His love, I’ll be led

I may be only tiny
In the world’s blinded eyes
Yet, in Him, I am mighty
I won’t listen to the lies

We stroll along the seashore
We lie down in pastures green
Beside the still, clear waters
The prettiest I’ve ever seen

He sings to me, sings over me
With a voice so beautifully pure
The words fill my very being
Of His love, I am sure

Up rugged mountains steep
And through the stormy seas
Along the valley’s deep, deep floor
You’ll often find me on my knees

Each day I am discovering
All that He’s done for me
His name is Jesus, Jesus
The One who helped me see

Let me tell you a little story
I thought I knew Him all along
Then one day, many years ahead
I broke forth in brand new song

I’ll sing it now, won’t be a moment
Just need to find my singing voice
Sit with us awhile, sit down in peace
You’ll fall in love, you’ll have no choice

And it goes like this, are you ready
A one, a two, a three
If you’d like to join in with us
We won’t worry about the key

’Cause the melody in heaven
Will flow down upon our heads
Fill our being to overflowing
And mend all of life’s loose threads

‘Jesus, You came
You came, You came for me
I may have been the only one
Still You came for me
I am so very precious
I’m the apple of Your eye
And there’s nothing I can do
No, nothing I can ever do
To make You love me more
Everything is finished
Nothing more is to be done
And that is why, You, my Lord
My whole heart, You have won
Jesus, You came
You came, You came for me’

See, how easy was that
Like a little child and father
So come walk with us to the eternal door
One day those searching steps will go no farther

Remember the distant garden
When innocence filled the air
Know that you are loved and cherished
Father wants to take you back there

Oh! Won’t you let Him take you back
Let Him take you back, don’t be afraid
Take His hand, He’ll take you back

THIS STARRY NIGHT (Christmas Song Lyrics)

Elegant Christmas tree

It has all been leading up to this
This beautiful night, this starry night
The story unfolds, salvation comes
Mankind’s sin, in love, to send to flight

This starry night, upon lonely hill
That hears a shepherd cry
The sheep find comfort
This starry night
Creation breaks forth
Hallelujah
Triumphant cry

Beautiful night, a new beginning
Love permeates the earth and darkness
We didn’t comprehend our great need
Till opened eyes saw we were heartless

This starry night, upon lonely hill
That hears a shepherd cry
The sheep find comfort
This starry night
Creation breaks forth
Hallelujah
Triumphant cry

In truth, love and joy, we have this hope
None other could have ever given
Immanuel, Christ with us, He came
So one day we could be forgiven

Come hear the little babe
Come see His wonderful Name
God came down
Pure love adorned
A babe fit for His future crown

This starry night, upon lonely hill
That hears a shepherd cry
The sheep find comfort
This starry night
Creation breaks forth
Hallelujah
Triumphant cry

Through the Eyes of A Child

http://www.FathersLoveLetter.com

sleeping baby on a hand

Father, please give me
The faith of a little child
Sprinkle beams of love
Calm every place that’s wild

Take me back to innocence
Where dreams brought pure joy
Wipe every falling tear
Your power in me, employ

Oh! How I long
To hear my Father’s voice
To see His hand in mine
To love Him, that’s my choice

No distractions, no fear
A learning playtime life
The brilliance of His creation
Washing away all strife

To see the flower
As the little bee sees
To smell the rose
As the air is fragranced
To speak of His love
As the singing birds do
To bask in the sunshine
To reflect soft moonlight
To breathe deep
With anticipation
Of adventures to come
Presents to open
Friends to share
Life
Abounding each day
To be given the love
The love of a Father
And know
I am His child
Safe
Loved
Wanted
Cherished

Father
Make me to be
Your little child
No matter my age
I can still love You
With the heart of an adult
Through the eyes of a child

There will be no judgment
No ‘I want that’
No ‘I won’t do it’
No ‘You can’t make me’
For, through the eyes of a child
Everything just happens
One way or another
One day or another
And this child
Won’t question
This child will believe
That my Father
Knows everything
Has everything
Will do anything
Anything, for me
His child
All the time
His Word
Embraces me

Father, that prayer
I sent heavenwards
Please give me childlike faith
Was answered long ago
Before I even asked
I know this as I write
It’s already mine
I don’t need to ask for it
It’s deep, deep inside
So, sorry for asking
You planted it
When, my life
I gave, I gave to Thine

TENDING MY FATHER’S SHEEP (Song Lyrics)

Shepherd Boy.jpg

Just a humble shepherd boy
Daily tending my father’s sheep
Roaming through the hills unseen
Eyes upon them, awake, asleep

Chorus
Wither will they go
Wither will they stay
Wither will their food come from
Wither will they play
Oft awandering from me
Oft close by my feet
Doesn’t matter either way
I love them, love their bleat

Searching for lush, green pastures
Waters flowing abundantly
And hanging leaves for shelter
Safe from winds that lash suddenly

Chorus
Wither will they go
Wither will they stay
Wither will their food come from
Wither will they play
Oft awandering from me
Oft close by my feet
Doesn’t matter either way
I love them, love their bleat

Watching for dangers and fear
Aware of their frailty, weakness
Needing me to lead them, till
The heavens draw back in darkness

Oh! Why did He chose me
And why not another
I’d strayed so far from home
Far from father, mother
But in His sweetest arms
Carried me to His side
Held me so tenderly
Whispered, here you’ll abide

Chorus
Wither will they go
Wither will they stay
Wither will their food come from
Wither will they play
Oft awandering from me
Oft close by my feet
Doesn’t matter either way
I love them, love their bleat

I THOUGHT I WAS HIDDEN (Song Lyrics)

the romantic theme of highdefinition picture 1

I’m in hiding, hiding from love
Hiding from eyes, blessed far above
Always running, going nowhere
Looking for hope, someone to care

I’m lost amidst life’s turbulence
Dark, swirling clouds breeding suspense
Feet they move, I’m going backwards
Head downcast, tug of war upwards

Chorus
Crying tears, You caught them
Fighting fears, You bound them
Wasted years, restored them
And all because
All because
I thought I was hidden
Away from Your love
Hidden forever
Separated
I thought
I was hidden

I can’t do this, I’m so alone
This heart of mine has turned to stone
The light it fades, joy’s door has shut
A load so weary, heavy; but

You shone Your light, caused me to see
Whispered sweet words, caused me to be
Wrapped in a love, all enduring
Wrapped in a love, love amazing

Chorus
Crying tears, You caught them
Fighting fears, You bound them
Wasted years, restored them
And all because
All because
I thought I was hidden
Away from Your love
Hidden forever
Separated
I thought
I was hidden

Crying tears, You caught them
Fighting fears, You bound them
Wasted years, restored them
