The Everlasting Rose

vector beautiful red rose illustration

My love, My love, take a petal from the rose
Take a petal from the rose that I gave you

Each one holds a key to the secret gift
Oh! Let Love restore the brokenness in you

The petal of hope
It’s filled with new dreams
With all of My love
Deserts into streams

The petal of joy
It’s filled with new praise
New oil to anoint
And flow through your days

The petal of peace
It’s filled with comfort
Embrace all given
My arms will support

The petal of love
What more can I say
The petal of choice
Along life’s hard way

My love, My love, take a petal from the rose
Take a petal from the rose that I gave you

Each one holds a key to the secret gift
Oh! Let Love restore the brokenness in you

Yes, there’s a petal of encouragement
A petal, soft and grand
A petal for when discouragement
Leaves a heart sunk in grief’s sand

Petals, a petal
Purity, serene
Words cannot write words
To grasp a rose, so serene

So take what I’ve given you
It’s a balm for where it hurts
Let the fragrance of the perfect rose
The fragrance of the perfect rose
Fill you deep within, so very deep within
Each petal, a rose story, red covers every sin

My love, My love, take a petal from the rose
Take a petal from the rose that I gave you

Each one holds a key to the secret gift
Oh! Let Love restore all brokenness in you

Challenge Me

Challenge Me

Challenge me, dear Lord, to never let You go
Challenge me, dear Lord, my love to always show
When all and everything around me abandons my need and is lost
Draw me dearest Father, nearer to Thee, at all cost

For You paid an excruciating price for me
When Your Son hung so majestically upon that precious tree
Majestic in Your power and in eternal aim
For me to live, He endured such unimaginable pain

Challenge and convict my oft backsliding heart
So that nothing in this world will ever tear us apart
And together eternally, we shall always be
Send Your warmth to melt, mend, to reshape me

Father, please challenge, challenge me

It’s Raining His Tears

valentine8217s day water drops hearts vector

It’s raining
I hear His small, still voice
I’m crying for my nations
I’m crying, it’s My choice

I’m crying, you won’t listen
I’m crying, you’ve left My side
I’m crying, no one seems to care
Look, My arms are open wide

These tears are shed for many
The lost, the sick, those in pain
The rain, it is getting heavier
Don’t let My love, My love, wane

The rainbow has been hidden
These tears, I cry for you
I’m crying to cleanse all who are dying
I’m crying, let Me wash you anew

The falling drops, they lessen
But My tears will continue to fall
Fall until you grasp these words
Don’t hide your heart behind fear’s wall

Let these tears, let them take away
All that is holding you back
May they bring fresh love, peace and sweet joy
And in Me, fulfill all you lack

Highlighted and Deleted

help key
Something the Lord showed me last night
I couldn’t sleep because of the heat
So I focused on the only One
Who could bring sweet sleep to me

Before I knew it He brought before me
Many things that filled me with shame, disgust
They just kept coming one after another
It was like watching a movie with no stop

And then I saw it, my life, an open book
And everywhere that one of these circumstances
Had been, there was now an underscore
There were so many spaces thus filled

Yes, He had highlighted and deleted
Highlighted and deleted
All of the sins in my life
Left them blank for me to see
It wasn’t me, it isn’t me
And once I’d seen what He had done
Erased my sins with His pure blood
He didn’t just stop there, oh! no no
The next thing I knew
He had copied and pasted
Three precious words
Into each of those spaces
‘I love you’
I love you, I love you, I love you
Into every area
Where there had been brokenness
And now my life story reads:

I love you … I love you … I love you
I love you … I love you … I love you
I love you … I love you … I died for you
I love you

button heart

Highlighted, deleted, highlighted, deleted
And now my heart has a joyful beat
Yes, a joyful beat, a joyful beat
’Cause all of my sins have been replaced
With the love of my Father which can’t be erased

ONE LOST LAMB (A Song About Love)

lamb looking into camera

Chorus
O Lamb of God
Lamb of Christ
One, He saves
One was lost

Lifted silently
No cry
Sweet Lamb and lamb
Prepared to die

Lord and Saviour
Strong Deliverer
Redeems, the
Wandering, lonesome one

A heart poured
Out, upon the Hilltop
Cleansing the way
For hopeless weariness

Chorus
O Lamb of God
Lamb of Christ
One, He saves
One was lost

Each piercing glance
Sheds love abroad
In receptive hearts
Of burdened souls

To the ends of the earth
No deviation
Gently leads home
Forgiven saints

Touching each and every
Head, He gifts with
Promises, and all that He
Abandoned, is lovingly restored

Chorus
O Lamb of God
Lamb of Christ
One, He saves
One was lost

And then He turns toward me
Our eyes stay locked, no key
The Lamb has found
That one lost lamb
And cradles me, lovingly

I Don’t Know How I’m Feeling

I Don't Know How I'm FeelingI don’t know how I’m feeling
But I know that you do Lord
‘Cause You can see within my heart
Behind the screens of discord

And each and every day Lord
I come prepared to meet
You and Your love unchangeable
Upon the mercy seat

But there’s a shadow preventing me
From knowing the Truine God
It dampens my emotions
And depletes my flame for God

Lord please come and take this burden
This burden from my life’s flow
May Your hand direct each pulse
May Your joy cover every woe

And as the light descends upon
And scatters misty pain
Your love is shed abroad in my heart
I have naught but life to gain

BOW DOWN (A Song for the Repentant Heart)

Bow DownWeary head
Bow down
Bow down
Weary head
Bow down
Take your place
At the foot
Of the One
Who adores you
Weary head
Bow down
Bow down
Weary head
Bow down your weary head
He’s waiting
Oh! He’s waiting
He’s waiting
In His grace
In His grace
He’s waiting in His grace
In His love and in His grace
Healing hands
His healing hands
Are waiting to restore you

Broken Cross, Restored Life

Broken Cross, Broken Life

I am only new to ‘blogging’ and am overwhelmed with all of the beautiful

(some heart-wrenching) blogs and comments; but most importantly

beautiful people out there.

I wish to thank all who have visited and spent time on my page.

Thank you to all who have liked my writings.

Thank you to all who are following my blog, I pray that you will be blessed.

I wish to thank all who have allowed me to read a little of their hopes, their joys, their sorrows, their dreams.

I thank God for the compassion that He has poured into my heart for others.

That He has softened my heart.

*******

Excerpt from “The Hurting Body”

“Until the time when all is done

We patiently wait, some unwell, tears fall

“Why me?” is often sent via prayer above

Just look to the cross, the answer revealed”

*******

Jesus came that we might have life.

His brokenness upon the Cross …. Our restoration to God.
