Rain’s Song

Rain's Song (2)The rain, it does apitter-patter down
And ease the earth’s sun-drenched frown
Been too dry for way too long
The birds, they cried for their missing song

But now, their sweet melody fills the air
They call creation to come and share
The trees no more laborious, tilt their heads
As the breath of fresh water, earth to heaven it weds

Drinking, drinking, thirst quenched and given more
Flowers wave thankfulness for the gift from heaven’s store
The air it clears, the breeze it cheers
Colours now radiant and cleansed by His tears
