Rainbow
I sit beneath the Cross and cry
Knowing that the day of the Lord draweth nigh
I sit beneath the cross, the tears
Hold a rainbow of His Love …. quells fears
Red of blood that He hath shed
Thorns of crimson about His head
Orange of the sunlit darkness
Fragrance, sweet fragrance lifted upwards
Yellow flowers singing softly below Him
Drinking of warmth flowing from still limb
Green of life draining out for me
Newness of life a gift soon to see
Blue of the depths of His sadness within
Agony and suffering yet kept silent, our sin
Indigo of the time spent lovingly in death
Waiting for His set time to spring forth, new breath
And Violet, O Violet, kingly crown now adorns
Royal robes of sweet violet and joy on new morn

Is It Just Me ???
Sometimes I believe that the Lord pens His love and answers to our prayers through us. Yes, they are for the comfort of others; but how many times have we (as poets/writers/bloggers etc) reread ‘our’ posts and been ministered unto at just the perfect moment? (and we read them as if someone else had written it for us!) … Or am I the only one who feels like this? God is so good and His mercies are new every day. Every day He paints a fresh rainbow upon all that He has given us and even though the tears may still fall, they are cleansed with the beautiful colours of heaven’s healing palette.

SEND A RAINBOW (A Song for the Brokenhearted)
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
Send a rainbow through this pain
Help me catch the falling joy
Falling colours … falling joy
Shards of pain
They do pierce
This old heart
At its worst
Feels like the
Floodgate
It just won’t close
On this memory
Of long ago
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
Send a rainbow
Wash this pain
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n … s p r i n k l e j o y
Break apart
This lonely heart
Shattered fragments
Bleed within
Tossing tears
Amidst the embers
Of this lost, cold room
Please Lord
Send a rainbow
Send a rainbow
Send a rainbow
Please Lord
Send a rainbow
And bring joy to this empty pain
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
Send a rainbow through my pain
Help me catch the falling joy
Falling colours … falling joy
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n
Send a rainbow
Wash this pain
S p r i n k l e j o y … s p r i n k l e r a i n … s p r i n k l e j o y

Rainbow Tears
Love in a Rainbow
Rainbows flying overhead
Gleeful songs of praise
Each breath flows free with endless joy
Each note completes His ways

Caketastrophe!
Sharing a piece of God’s love with you this day.
His mercies are new every morning.
Today is a beautiful day. Every day is a beautiful day. It’s just that the circumstances we find ourselves in sometimes shatter our dreams … and the rainbow is hidden behind the clouds of pain, dismay, hurt or overwhelming despair.
There is always hope though as behind every cloud shines pure Light.
May the Lord bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you. May your pain be eased.
I THINK I HAD BETTER STICK TO WRITING POETRY …. GOD BLESS.
An excerpt from ‘Battling Forward’ in “Fragrance from the Spring”
Excerpt from “Battling Forward”
“Push through the hardships, toils and sorrows
For the Lord God, our very own God
He reigns triumphant”
* * * * * * *
He is mighty
He is worthy
An anchor in stormy seas
A lighthouse when all else is in darkness
A sunbeam shining through endless clouds
A rainbow of hope
Joy in the morning
A melody in the night
Rain in the drought
Sunshine in the flood
Shelter
Abundance
All-in-all
Freedom
Salvation
Love
Peace
Healer
Deliverer
Forgives all when forgiveness sought
Life
Mender of broken hearts
Full of mercies
And they are new every morning
“By the grace of God I am what I am” 1 Cor 15:10a KJV
Dewdrops on the roses
The sweetness of a bird call
Yes, He is mighty and I could go on forever …….
So break through your burdens and grasp the hand of the One who loves you.
Would love you to add to the list ……. God bless.
