The Right End of the Boat

green boat

Can you be sure, you’re down the right end
Down the right end of the boat?
There’s only one end, and that be the right one
So follow along, and take note

The seas may be glassy, crystal clear
Misty grey, or mirror blue
The seas may be foaming, churning with high waves
Upon this, your journey so new

You may have joined Him, to find sweet peace
Or maybe to escape pain
You may have joined Him, longing for a pure love
Or you’re poor, and looking for gain

Just remember the boat has two sides
Narrow; but come take a seat
One end you’ll join the darkness of ruthless fear
Down the other, Jesus you’ll meet

Make a choice, even when waves are still
Step into the boat, and live
In darkness or brilliant light, you’ll be safe
But only with Him, peace He’ll give

He’ll speak into that need or burden
Get close, and Holy Breath feel
I know which end of the boat you will find me
Come join me, and at His feet kneel

“And He was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, carest Thou not that we perish?

And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

And He said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Mark 4:38-40

Shipwrecked; But Never, Ever Broken

Thank you Karrol for liking this older post. It came at a perfect time for me and I pray it will bless many who find themselves in the sea of affliction.

canary islands shipwreck ship

The ship tosses violently upon the open seas
The Captain’s in control; but the crew are full of fear
And with every fresh onslaught, they all cower lower
The Captain, though, with commanding voice, says, peace be still

Likewise, peace be still, He speaks silently to our hearts
The storms of life may appear that they are shattering
The ship of our lives, our hopes, our dreams, our course, our lives
Take your eyes off the storm, rest in His words, you’ll come through

It is as though He says, the Prince of Peace is saying
Some days are highs, some are lows, you will rise, you will fall
You may be drenched with the tears that you shed, I’ll dry them
You may be parched by the heat you bear, I am the Son

So if you’re battling raging storms upon worldly waves
Your ship will break, there’ll be none to save when you cry out
But with Eternity’s Best upon Living Waters
Your heart may be shipwrecked; but never, ever broken

TRY TO BE STILL (Song Lyrics)

peace tree calm

When there is trouble all around
And friends they leave without a trace
Storms, they come and leave a sadness
But they clarify My Love’s face

’Cause when you feel you’re all alone
And the way before is darkened
Just listen for My small, still voice
It’s peace for all who have harkened

Try to be still
Try to be still
Hours may linger
Try to be still
Pain, it may hinder
Just try to be still
Be still and listen
For this is God’s will

But you say, my mind, it wanders
And there’s always something to do
How can I try, try to be still
When there’s always something to do

You’ll find the answer in My word
My word that reflects perfect Love
My beloved Son is the Word
And wisdom for you lies above

You can be still
You can be still
Hours may linger
You can be still
Pain, I will lift it
And help you be still
Be still and listen
For this is God’s will

sparrow bird animal
Little sparrow, hide your tears
Little sparrow, do not fear
Little sparrow, I am here
Little sparrow, I draw near

Spread your wings and fly to Me
Spread your wings and do not flee
Spread your wings forever be
Little sparrow, kept in Me

Through the darkness and the chill
Through the storms I hear your trill
You will hear Me, ‘Peace be still’
Little sparrow, in My will

Little sparrow, close your eyes
Little sparrow, no more sighs
Little sparrow, love defies
Little sparrow, new life flies

Spread your wings and trust in Me
Spread your wings and you will see
Spread your wings beautifully
Little sparrow, gracefully

Little sparrow, toils may come
Little sparrow, don’t succomb
Little sparrow, see the crumb
Little sparrow, Mine become
