WHEN LOVE OVERWHELMS (Song Lyrics)

Valentine’s Day Rose Love Background
Chorus
When love
When love
When love
It overwhelms
To the point of feeling so embraced
Nothing else matters
And never will

Knowing that He loves me
Knowing that He cares
Knowing that wherever He leads me
I’m on the path He’s travelled for me
For me
I’m on the path He’s travelled for me

And nothing I can say or do
Will make Him love me any more
Than He already does

I hear Him calling my name
Sweet child
I love you

Bridge
When His love overwhelms me
And peace settles deep within
It’s like falling upon a bed of roses
Where healing fragrance silently infuses in

The softness of morning
The stillness of eve
Through every waking moment forming
Love entwined with each new dawning
Dawning
Love entwined with each new dawning

And nothing I can say or do
Will make Him love me any more
Than He already does

He’s calling my name again
Sweet child
I love you

Chorus
When love
When love
When love
It overwhelms
To the point of feeling so embraced
Nothing else matters
And never will

And nothing I can say or do
Will make Him love me any more
Than He already does
And as hard as I try
I cannot describe
The depths of my Father’s love
Being cherished and adored by Love
Cherished
Embraced
Cherished
Embraced
Cherished in the arms of Love
Of Love
Cherished in the arms of Love

Lord, it’s me
Sweet child
Here I am
Ready to receive Your love
And fall deeper in love with You
So much deeper in love with You

YOUR ASSISTANCE IN MY RESISTANCE

lifebuoy

I look around
Where, where am I going?
I can’t hear Your voice
I don’t seem to be growing
Oh! Lord, come rescue me
Inside my head I’m groaning
Fed up with merry-go-round existence
And You’re growing weary of my resistance??
Come rescue me

Son, daughter, oh! thou searching one
You’re rescued so stop looking back
Reach your hand a little further
I’m waiting, My heart is not slack
I’m waiting, there’s nothing I lack
No, there’s nothing, nothing I lack

Where are You Lord?
Your footsteps are hidden
I’m crying inside
And the tears are forbidden
Oh! Lord come rescue me
I’m trapped, and so guilt-ridden
How can I keep surviving the distance?
Only through Your love, power and assistance
Come rescue me

Son, daughter, oh! thou searching one
You’re rescued so stop looking back
Reach your hand a little further
I’m waiting, My heart is not slack
I’m waiting, there’s nothing I lack
No, there’s nothing, nothing I lack

So You are here?
Really, truly with me?
Lord, the cloud is gone
Enabling me to now see
Oh! Lord, You rescued me
And in You I can now be
More faithful in my love and persistence
And hear Your sweet voice at heaven’s insistence

At peace as the sun scatters all my fears
And new revelation dries all of my tears
You rescued me, You rescued me
Reached down, and I reached up
But only because, and only because
Your hand lifted mine to entwine with Yours
And turned my mourning into jubilant cheers
Turned my mourning into jubilant cheers

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 KJV

I’LL LOVE HIM FOREVER (A Song of Praise)

Love garden

Knowing what I know, I know
That all that happens in my life, my life
Was known before I took my first breath, first breath
And nothing happens that surprises the One who loves me

Chorus
And He loves me forever, forever
And He’s given His love to me
So I’ll love Him forever, forever
Just as our love is meant to be

Knowing what I see, I see
Everything around me, beauty, beauty
Through dark skies or blue lullabies, lullabies
Clouds of memories and time’s never-repeated moments

Knowing what I hear, I hear
Nothing or sweet melodies, melodies
Triumphant heavenly choir, heavenly choir
Or as scripture reads, sparrow alone upon the house top

Chorus
And He loves me forever, forever
And He’s given His love to me
So I’ll love Him forever, forever
Just as our love is meant to be

Oh! Knowing all I know, I know
I know that I’m meant to be
Meant to be here
Meant to be here
In this very part
This very part
Of His story
His story
And each day
Brings me closer
To the heart
To the heart
To the heart
Of creation’s Owner
And every tic
Every toc
Of man’s modern
Modern clock
Takes a little
Of my allotted days
And exchanges
Mercifully
Graciously
Through His hands
Exchanges in love
My way for God’s way
My way for God’s way

Chorus
And He loves me forever, forever
And He’s given His love to me
So I’ll love Him forever, forever
Just as our love is meant to be

THE GIFT ON CALVARY (A Song of Thankfulness)

rose flower love
Chorus
Oh! What a beautiful, precious gift
Has been given me
So, so, so, so long ago
Upon the roughly handled tree
The Gift of Calvary

Because the Father loved
As Love can only love
He gave His Son to take away
The sins of all mankind

This love He freely gave
This love He freely gives
This love is not beyond my reach
This love is heaven-sent

Chorus
Oh! What a beautiful, precious gift
Has been given me
So, so, so, so long ago
Upon the roughly handled tree
The Gift of Calvary

I never walk alone
His word, His promises
No more I doubt or disbelieve
He cares that I may share

And death could never hold
Perfection, Purity
Praise God, Jesus, He did arise
And heaven and I sing

Chorus
Oh! What a beautiful, precious gift
Has been given me
So, so, so, so long ago
Upon the roughly handled tree
The Gift of Calvary

Singing songs of new joy
Singing songs of new love
Singing songs of angel praises
Songs from a renewed heart

So join the with me, rejoice
Lift all we have to Him
No matter if we’re out of tune
Creation’s voice, it lives

Chorus
Oh! What a beautiful, precious gift
Has been given me
So, so, so, so long ago
Upon the roughly handled tree
The Gift of Calvary

82 Roses

82 Roses

Strolling around my garden
How blessed was I to see
82 sweet roses
That the Lord had given me

82 roses for me
Unbelievably
Blossoms and sweet fragrance
Adorning brilliantly

Scarlet, apricot, white
Lemon, ginger, sweet pink
In varying degrees
Of openness to drink

For someone with no green thumb
I know ‘tis His sweet touch
Their beauty overwhelms me
I know He loves me very much
