THE PRICE OF LOVE

the first communion holidays

Love’s price, no, we cannot comprehend
How much our Father loved us to send
Son Jesus, it hurt, He hid His face
Suffering sent, to die in our place

Before His death, Hosannas rang forth
Palm leaves were laid, as He headed north
Footsteps leading to both pain and joy
Passed through angelic voice to destroy

Some loved Him from overflowing hearts
Others despised Him, spoke fiery darts
Forward He went, with you on His mind
Came obediently, others to find

Till, at the appointed time, He was
With presence of His disciples ‘twas
At Bethany, a dear woman there
Drew close to pour ointment on His hair

And she poured pure sweetness on His head
Costly ointment on Him, she did shed
And the Lord knew the love in her heart
A place in His story did impart

Oh Lord! Help us to fragrance our lives
With the droplets fallen from your sides
Wash away all that is in darkness
And Your Power, Love, Sound Mind harness

We are so blessed to know only You
Covered in safety, not what is due
You’ve given so much, for us, no cost
Life, forgiveness, since Your blood was lost

THE ROSE IN MY GARDEN (Song Lyrics)

red rose

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love

Come sit beside the rose
Come humbly, bow your head
Let fragrance emitted
Dry all the tears you’ve shed

Reach out, touch the softness
It opened just for you
And like hands from above
Says, come, I’ll make you new

My thorns will not pierce you
For they’ve already pierced
The life of dear Jesus
Upon His head they laid

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love

In His dying body
Infused with so much pain
He took all your sorrows
So you, His life, could gain

But death, it could not hold
The perfect Son of God
He’s risen, He’s risen
The dark grave could not hold

So don’t you be frightened
Of any thorny trial
All pain has been removed
Love pours from Calvary’s hill

Jesus, came to save
Jesus, came to heal
Jesus, died so we
Could in His presence, kneel

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love

MY JESUS (Song Lyrics)

the first communion holidays

My Jesus, You were wounded
That one day we might be healed
In total obedience
On the cross, our was life sealed

All was finished, when You cried
We must appropriate it
None else can do it for us
Don’t on the sideline fence sit

Chorus
My Jesus, He died for you
My Jesus, He died for me
My Jesus, how I love You
My Jesus, You died for me

My Jesus, You bled and died
A tortured moment in time
You gave Your beautiful life
Cut down whilst in Your sweet prime

And close tears, they did mingle
With hearts broken beyond pain
Hearts that would one day be new
My heart was there in death’s stain

Chorus
My Jesus, He died for you
My Jesus, He died for me
My Jesus, how I love You
My Jesus, You died for me

My Jesus, because of love
By Your stripes, bought us wholeness
Took our sins, and laid them bare
In death You breathed forgiveness

Who can comprehend, the pure Sacrifice once laid out before us?
Who can partake of this living gift, unless the Father draws us?

Chorus
My Jesus, He died for you
My Jesus, He died for me
My Jesus, how I love You
My Jesus, You died for me
