Loved beyond all measure
Accepted now, forever
Comforted in His healing arms
Empowered like none other

Once we were burdened by darkness
Clothed only in self-righteousness
We came to You, and You saved us
Exchanged our rags for robes anew

Loved beyond all measure
Accepted now, forever
Comforted in His healing arms
Empowered like none other

You took our hopeless, broken heart
And filled it to overflowing
Your love broke through, captivated
Abundant, cleansing, softened too

Loved beyond all measure
Accepted now, forever
Comforted in His healing arms
Empowered like none other

At first, the flow, it did trickle
Too much, too soon, too much would be
Father, You know us inside out
Patient for our salvation day

Loved beyond all measure
Accepted now, forever
Comforted in His healing arms
Empowered like none other

Adorned in lace, so beautiful
Awaiting our Master’s sweet voice
Clothed in Your royal righteousness
Hope in eternity’s wedding

Suddenly tears, they fall
Out of nowhere, gentle and small
Don’t know why, if at all
Then I remember mother’s call

It’s been seven long years
So full of ups and downs and fears
But my Father, He hears
And through it all, my Saviour steers

Time, it separates us
Even though your heart remains in mine
And time, they say heals wounds
May heal them; but the scar remains
The wound that was left
At your departing
Has now been lovingly closed
And bound with inner strength and joy
’Cause even though in quiet moments
The silent tears they fall
You’re my mother and no-one, no-one
Could or ever will replace you
You’re mine and I’ll forever love you
Because love never forgets your call

In the secret chambers
Of love’s sweet memories
He pours
His love into my heart
Enabling me
Encouraging me
To sing beautiful songs
Like the songbirds
Of the morning
Through rain
Through sunshine
He draws me back to you
And this I know for He tells me so
Dear mother, our love will never part
For He’s loved us both from the very start
And will always through His merciful heart
Fill my miss you heart with your loved me heart

Her favourite flower, the daisy …

I Follow … I Rest

I Follow ... I Rest

I follow close behind Thee
My soul entwined, I follow
Lord, precious Lord, I can
Never give of myself enough
Enough to heal Your wounds

You lift me up because I follow
With Your right hand, I may
Stumble; but You lift me higher
I hear the melody of Your love
In my heart, because I follow

“My soul followeth hard after Thee: Thy right hand upholdeth me.” Psalm 63:8 KJV

I rest between Your shoulders Lord
I rest from all my load
I give Thee all my hurts dear Lord
Everything I’ve ever stowed

I take Your yoke upon me Lord
For Your yoke is easy and burden light
Help me leave it there dear Lord
And relinquish my daily fight

Pour so much love into me Lord
Pour so much mercy, grace and joy
Fill me to overflowing dear Lord
Then trials, my mind will no longer employ

“And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between His shoulders.” Deuteronomy 33:12 KJV

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”
Matthew 11:28-29 KJV

You Know Lord, You Know

You Know Lord, You Know

No matter how much
Or evil
There is in the world
There is in our heart
You know Lord, You know

No matter how much
Or persecution
There is in the world
There is in our heart
You know Lord, You know Lord

No matter how much
Or turmoil
There is in the world
There is in our heart
You know Lord, You know Lord

You know every lie
You know what is hidden
You know all about us
And that’s why, Your Son was given

Given to heal every sickness
Given to dry every tear
O yes, You know, Lord, O how You know
And knowing this lifts us out of worldly fear

Underneath Are The Everlasting Arms

And when the day into darkness turns
And heart and soul and mind do yearn
Turn ye unto the Lord above
Cause underneath are the everlasting arms.

Trials may threaten to overtake
But only Him sense does make
When far yonder things still prevail
Look underneath to the everlasting arms.

Weary soul, do not give in
For He alone has taken our sin
Battles above and battles below
All fall into the everlasting arms.

Cry no more, oh do but shine
For victory in Jesus is mine
Nothing else should be a care
For underneath are the everlasting arms.

So when the night into brightness be
Forever secure and wedded to thee
Precious Saviour, yours alone
Underneath are the everlasting arms.

“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.” Deuteronomy 33:27 Cambridge KJV

Three Days of Tears

Three Days of TearsEach time your memory crosses my vision
My very world, it crumbles
Then the flood dries up
And love, it fills up
Until again it happens

When will this picture etched in my mind
Of all that was and happened
If only this, if only that
But it’s too late to change the minute
The minute that you left me
I should have done this, I should have done that
But what now stands shall be

As each day passes, the tears flow heavier
But there are rays of sunshine in between
Little rainbows of love and joy
Sent to comfort me

Safety in the Shallows

Safety in the ShallowsWhenever waves of hurt seem relentless, look to the shallows. A safe place in which to stand. Take your eyes off the problem and look to the gentleness and comforting melody of His healing word. Let it wash over you and may peace ever so reassuringly lap at your now steady feet.

His Song

Look UpSoftly, softly sings my Saviour,
Sings my Saviour, soft to me,
Sending words of comfort daily,
Through the whisper of the trees.

I hear the bees a-buzzing,
Amidst the jasmine vine,
Sweet, perfumed snow-buds of fragrance,
A chorus so divine.

He’s in the falling dew,
That refreshes thirsting life,
He’s in the greatly chirping birds
Their songs announcing strife.

The blades of grass a-swaying,
In breezes He brings forth,
Carrying echoes of love and joy,
Peace flows down from upper north.

He brings music to my ears,
And causes me to hear,
For everything that has His touch,
Gifts of song, new life, brings near.

The golden harps of dawn,
The twilight dusky bells,
Little creatures just being themselves,
The dry leaves sailing effortlessly down,
The roses lifting sweet perfume,
The clouds a-billowing past,
The distant cry of a lonely dog,
The beat of a winged butterfly,
The lorikeet, the kangaroo,
…. Sweet melody in a kitten’s purr.

My Lord, my Lord, Thou art beautiful,
Open mine ears so I will perceive,
This pure delight, this spotless sight,
Singing songs of pure love … I receive.
