BECAUSE HE LOVES ME (A Song of Priceless Love)

Because He Loves Me

Into the garden He went
Shed as it were great tears of blood
And He shed a drop for me
Shed a drop in anguish for me

Carried His cross
Which cut into bleeding wounds
And He bore more pain for me
In love bore pain and sickness for me

Raised in humiliation
Was scorned, mocked and jeered
And He watched sorrowfully over me
Watched sorrowfully in sorrow over me

Endured suffocating darkness, so alone
Time’s sin poured into Him
And He emptied my sin from me
Emptied completely the fall from me

Drew His last breath
Crushed, surrendered and torn
And He took that last breath for me
Took that last breath of love for me

Three days of stillness
Battle now over
And He slept wrapped in Father’s love for me
Slept in peace knowing what He’d done for me

Hallelujah, He rose triumphantly
He still bears those scars for me
And He had suffered to set me free
Yes He suffered to bring life eternal to me

And He followed the will of His Father
Yet being God
He could have changed His story
But He loved me so
Didn’t interrupt the flow
Of excruciating agony
To bring Himself glory

Because He loved me
Loves me still
Will forever love me
Gave of His life
Gave of His blood
Gave His sweet heart
For me, my story

Yes He was pallid, weak
And weakness shook Him
Drained of mortality
But He drank the cup of my helplessness
He lived, He died
Praise God He now lives for me

Set As Flint

Walkout along the narrow way
Hand in hand with Jesus
And nothing or no-one can ever make us sway
Either to the left or right or fumble lonely in the dark
For our living God He holds us close and if in obedience
We’ll never part

Isaiah 50:7
For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

HIDE ME IN THE PASTURE OF YOUR LOVE (A Song for Those Who Have Lost Their Way)

Of all that the Lord has given me to place before you, this has to be one of my favourites. I pray that it will bless you sweetly and speak to the very depths of your heart. He is our Shepherd. We are the sheep of His pasture and He loves us more than we can ever know.

To those who don’t know Him, please don’t wait another day to receive His gift of salvation and eternal life. To those who are wandering, seeking fulfillment, peace and happiness along your own path, don’t wait another day to hearken unto His call. Come unto Him. Now. He’s calling your name. Cry out, audibly or silently from a broken heart and He will answer. There is nothing to be afraid of. Let go. Let God. Your life will never be the same.

new born lamb

HIDE ME IN THE PASTURE OF YOUR LOVE
I’m just a little lamb Lord
Who’s lost its lonesome way
I’m just a little lamb Lord
Went out in the world to play

Chorus
So I come before You now Lord
In the pasture of Your love
Hide me in Your arms Lord
Hide me in the pasture of Your love

My heart is beating fast Lord
There’s danger all around
I’m just a little lamb Lord
Bleating desperately to be found

Chorus
So I come before You now Lord
In the pasture of Your love
Hide me in Your arms Lord
Hide me in the pasture of Your love

Strayed once too often, now all alone
In fields, uncertain and oh! so cold
I’m just a little lamb Lord
Forgive me and bring me into Your fold

Chorus
So I come before You now Lord
In the pasture of Your love
Hide me in Your arms Lord
Hide me in the pasture of Your love

I see You now Lord, Your arms are open wide
And tenderly You lift me
This little lamb’s now by Your side
I’m just a little lamb Lord
A little lamb, now with a peaceful heart
I’m just a little lamb Lord
Now safe knowing we’ll never be apart

Chorus
Oh! I stand before You now Lord
In the pasture of Your love
You’ve hidden me in Your arms Lord
I’m hidden in the pasture of Your love

I’LL NEVER LET YOU GO (A Song About Trust)

I'll Never Let You GoMy child
Step out of the boat
And into My arms
You may fear that
You will sink
But I’ll catch you, lift you
The waves may
Try and pull you under
But My love for you
Will sustain

Chorus
I’ll sustain you
Lift you
Never let you go
Just keep your eyes upon Me
Jesus
And may the love in your eyes
Lock with Mine

Lord
I’m out of the boat
And look, I’m afloat
And as I walk toward You
My eyes are fixed
Upon Your sweet face
The billows roundabout
Do dance and shout
But Your peace
It leads me on

Chorus
I’ll sustain you
Lift you
Never let you go
Just keep your eyes upon Me
Jesus
And may the love in your eyes
Lock with Mine

Lord
What’s happening
The waves are aclimbing
And under I do go
Lord, help me, help me
Ere I sink
And those in the boat
Watch me go
Lord help me, help me
I fear I may very well drown

Chorus
I’ll sustain you
Lift you
Never let you go
Just keep your eyes upon Me
Jesus
And may the love in your eyes
Lock with Mine

My child
My child
Reach out your hand
Search out my eyes once again
Whenever you look at
Your circumstance
Our connection
Our love
Will be swept far away
Till you look unto me once again

Bridge
Oh! Jesus
You lifted me
You lifted me
You took my sinking life
You lifted me
You set me free
In the ocean of peace and love

Chorus
Oh! You sustained me
You lifted me
You never let me go
‘Cause I kept my eyes upon You
Jesus
And now the love in our eyes
The love in our eyes
Looks love in the eye, forever aglow

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.
Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.”
Matthew 14:28-33 KJV

THE BLANKET OF SWEET LOVE (A Song)

dove and heart
You’ve knitted me together
So very beautifully
Embroidered me with peace and joy
And signed Your Name as Love

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn so many pictures
Of laughter, trials and pain
Some scenes are surrounded with gold
Others are barely seen

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn a time for singing
You’ve sewn a time for life’s storms
And yet they make me what I am
A masterpiece of Thy Son

Bridge
I am His
And He is mine
I’m woven with the threads of time
Bound with love that cannot break
Bound with glory for eternity’s sake

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Psalm 139:15 KJV

Strongs 7551 … wrought
embroiderer, needlework, curiously work
A primitive root; to variegate color, i.e. Embroider; by implication, to fabricate — embroiderer, needlework, curiously work

BIND THEM ALL WITH JOY (A Christmas Song)

Bind Them All With Joy

Decorate our lives, dear Lord
Decorate our lives
Disperse faith and hope and love, dear Lord
Into the chambers of our hearts

Chorus
Release
Oh! Release
Release the melody
Praise and psalms of triumph Lord
In and through this family tree

Light the faith with hope, dear Lord
Light the faith with hope
Light the love with love, dear Lord
And bind them all with joy

Chorus
Release
Oh! Release
Release the melody
Praise and psalms of triumph Lord
In and through this family tree

And when the lights grow dim, dear Lord
And when the lights grow dim
Reflect the light of Jesus, dear Lord
Upon hearts captive to this world’s cheer

Chorus
Release
Oh! Release
Release the melody
Praise and psalms of triumph Lord
In and through this family tree

Entwine the branches of pain, dear Lord
Entwine the branches of fear
Entwine the branches of sadness, dear Lord
With the Red Thread of the True Vine, so dear

You are the sole Creator
You are the Heaven’s Breath
You are the Love of all love’s known
Please Lord, decorate our hearts

Sprinkle the faith with hope, dear Lord
Sprinkle the hope with faith
Sprinkle the love with love, dear Lord
And bind them all with joy

Chorus
Release
Oh! Release
Release the melody
Praise and psalms of triumph Lord
In and through this family tree

LONG BEFORE I KNEW (A Song of Forgiveness)

Long Before I KnewLong before I knew
You loved me in Your heart
You hid me deep within
The knowledge, that we would never part

Chorus
I weep because I never knew that I was lost, confused
I weep because You had to search for me in darkest dream still left untold
I weep … You wept … Our tears they mingled in
The bottle of Your secret love
And Your grace lay captive within

I didn’t know Your Name
Or what You’d done for me
I didn’t see the pain
Etched on that crimson tree

Chorus
I weep because I never knew that I was lost, confused
I weep because You had to search for me in darkest dream still left untold
I weep … You wept … Our tears they mingled in
The bottle of Your secret love
And Your grace lay captive within

My plans did not include
Eternal plans, just mine, just mine … I’m fine
I walked the world treasured path
Until You placed Your feet with mine

Chorus
I weep because I never knew that I was lost, confused
I weep because You had to search for me in darkest dream still left untold
I weep … You wept … Our tears they mingled in
The bottle of Your secret love
And Your grace lay captive within

And then You set me free
And scarred hands led sheltered way
I didn’t know how much You loved me
Till my night way turned to day

Chorus
I wept because I never knew that I was lost, confused
I wept because You found me in darkest dream no longer left untold
My chains through the furnace have been
Your tears have quenched the burning fire
My chains are now the King’s possession
Set forever in Your crown of gold

WHY DID YOU LOOK AWAY (A Song of Conviction)

WHY DID YOU LOOK AWAY

Why did you look away
As you stood at the foot of the cross
I needed you to love Me, love Me
Yet you turned when My eyes captured yours
You turned when My eyes captured yours

Chorus
Oh! Child Oh! Child
I did not let you down
I hung there and was drained of love
I hung there and was crucified
No I did not let you down
I even wore for you a crown

Why did you speak so angrily
As you stood at the foot of the cross
I needed you to be by my side
Yet you joined the mockers and jeered
You joined the mockers and jeered

Chorus
Oh! Child Oh! Child
I did not let you down
I hung there and was drained of love
I hung there and was crucified
No I did not let you down
I even wore for you a crown

Why did you even come to watch
And stand at the foot of the cross
I needed a friend, there were so few
Yet you encouraged your friends and abuse flew
You encouraged your friends and abuse flew

But My love did not stop flowing
Just because your heart rejected mine
No, My love did not stop flowing
Just because your heart rejected mine

Oh! Jesus Oh! Jesus
Forgive me Lord, I pray
It was I, it was I
It was I who let you down
Yet You touched my heart
And did Your love impart
My eyes You opened
And now I see, it was You
It was You, it was You all along
It was You

THE WEDDING DOVE (A Prayerful Song)

THE WEDDING DOVE (2)

Divinely as the wings of freedom
Lift each heart toward the bluest sky
The Wedding Dove sets marks of love rewarding
On those who trust and don’t deny

Chorus
So spread Your wings upon my heart, Lord
Let Your peace flood over me
Fan dying embers of this cold heart, Lord
Into a heart ignited eternally for Thee

He shelters us from hearts backsliding
Draws us from the cliffs of despair
Wraps us safely and shows us all things
This story of love is a love we must share

Chorus
So spread Your wings upon my heart, Lord
Let Your peace flood over me
Fan dying embers of this cold heart, Lord
Into a heart ignited eternally for Thee

Comforter sent from our Love’s pure heart
He had to leave; but never left us
On heavenly winds of sweetest blessing
Filled our hearts with compassion at dusk

Chorus
So spread Your wings upon my heart, Lord
Let Your peace flood over me
Fan dying embers of this cold heart, Lord
Into a heart ignited eternally for Thee

You Took My Thorns (A Poem or A Song of Thankfulness)

You Took My Thorns

You have poured
Your love
Over my
Rose petal heart
A heart that
You softened
A heart
Torn apart
You took
All my thorns
Added them
To Your crown
And now that
They’re gone
I can but
Only bow down
My God
My Saviour
My Redeemer
My life
You’ve poured
Your sweet fragrance
Over every
Rosy beat
Of my heart
And I’ll forever
Thank and praise You
With each
New
Perfumed breath
For each day
Now presents
New blossomed
Faithfulness
So hold me
And place me
In the fellowship
Of love
And may
I forever
Be in
Your Bouquet
Above
