Little Daisy Field Mouse (A Children’s Poem)

Mouse with Flower

Little Daisy Field Mouse    Lived in an old run down shed    But she had made it beautiful    And called it Strawberry Cottage    A cottage filled with hot bread baking    And sweet flowers adorned her head

Blue Snowflake

Little Daisy Field Mouse    Always had a smile upon her face    Whiskers twitching, brown eyes glistening    Her daily chores were done with ease    Her little ones ran around her feet    And sweet music filled her place

Blue Snowflake

Little Daisy Field Mouse    Loved having friends over for afternoon tea    Into her home filled with woodland fragrance    They’d sit around the winter’s fireplace    And their little one’s eyes would light up    Watching snowdrops dance …    Dance around the old, garden trees

Little Miss Pepper Minty Boots (A Children’s Poem)

Dog Playing Dress Up

Little Miss Pepper Minty Boots
Such a sweetie and oh! so cute
Covered in stripes from head to foot
Pepper Minty and her musical flute

Little Miss Pepper Minty Boots
Sometimes chocolate, sometimes green
She sews all day, makes dresses and suits
Beautiful clothing fit for a queen

Little Miss Pepper Minty Boots
All the neighbourhood puppies close on her heels
They love the mint after each meaty treat
It’s all they need to complete their meals

Daisy Moo Alias Moo Moo Pepperpots (A Children’s Poem)

Cow Head

Well hello there Miss Daisy Moo
And how are you today?
I hear you’ve been feeling somewhat blue
At least that’s what your dear friends say!

Moo Moo Pepperpots
You must surely be mistaken
For I’m as fine as fine can be
From the moment that I awaken

Moo Moo Pepperpots!!
You really must explain
What is Pepperpots, Miss Daisy Moo
And why do you look like you’re in pain

Too much pepper on last night’s dinner
The pepper’s ajingle-jangling around
Had hay and stubble and sweet clover honey
Feeling fine; but my neigh’s a weird sound

Cow with Wheat in its Mouth

So off she trotted and I followed her
To the meadow, where she lay down
Picked every so pretty daisy flower
(And Daisy Moo in sweet daisy chains)
Rolled around till she wore a smile not a frown

Little Billy Beetle and the Lost Spots – A Children’s Poem

Ladybug without Spots

Little Billy Beetle
Called all his friends to play
Please help me find my spots
They can’t be far
They’re hidden in yonder hay

Barn with Hay

He’d lost them
Whilst helping Farmer Bobby Brown
Bring all the horses in
For it was raining heavily
And they all needed a warm, dry gown

In came the last
Prancing wildly and tossed
Little Billy Beetle high
For he’d been riding on its mane
And now his spots were lost

Hay

They had disappeared
Landing in amongst the bales
And then the horses
Started chewing
And suddenly they all heard wails

Pony

Wails of laughter, wails of tears
And Billy looked confused
For the horses, they had sneezed
The spots had blown out
And onto the beetle they were once again fused!
