‘Abandon’ in “Fragrance from the Spring”

The Fern

‘Silently the breezes blow

And the dew falls softly down

Where a carpet of sweetly-scented flowers

Receives for itself a crown

Whispering over babbling brooks

Showing little stones beneath the flow

The moss does cling, the birds do sing

One day His love we’ll know

The early morning reigns triumphant

Misty evening brings darkness and shower

Before too long, jubilant song we’ll hear

And with abandon, live in His power

The baby deer so perfectly adoring

Newness of forest floor

Trees of mercy, shelter and feed

His creatures with His store

Abandonment of truest desire

We with all creation, adore

And on the rolling hills and plains

Praise rings out forevermore’

A Revelation of God’s Treasure

Star Flower 2

Just wanted to share with my dear readers something that the Lord opened in His Word unto me a while ago.

–    –    –    –   –   –   –

‘For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.’ (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)

– and this is what He gave me

–  the power is God, love is Jesus and a sound mind is Holy Spirit.

–    –   –   –   –   –   –

Instead of fear we are given everything we will ever need in His absolute completeness.

Praying it will bless you.

He is our eternal promise of security.

Our very present help in time of need.

The Tears of a Dry Heart – ‘A Beautiful Story’ in “Fragrance from the Spring”

stream in forest

Softly as a pure, white dove,

The snowflakes gently fell,

A little lamb was given us,

On that crisp, winter morn.

And as He grew, new life was found,

Found deep within the earth,

Petals beautifully did spring forth,

And not a blemish spoiled.

Fresh sounds of song rolled off the leaves,

Of fragrance laced with heaven,

And that dear lamb, God’s chosen One,

Was led toward that tree.

The tree of death, the tree of life,

And today this is given thee,

To die with Christ, be born again,

Never again be led astray.

The wondrous Shepherd of mankind,

With grace whispers your name,

Come forth, come forth,

From darkness holding, life begins with Me.

Take My hand and walk beside Me,

Bring your heart to pastures green,

Living waters will cleanse, restore you,

Open the gate that is nailed with My pain,

Your shame is taken,

My love is given,

Silent knocking on your heart no more.

_       _       _       _       _       _       _

When tears have dried up; but you’re still in pain, open the floodgates of the reservoir and allow the Living Water to fill the emptiness of your broken heart.  Maybe once again.

Clouds of Invisibility (Battling Chronic Fatigue and Invisible Illness)

storm cloud

I can hear but sounds are muffled ringtones

I can see but sight is blurred

I am awake but I feel so sleepy

But I know I’ll always find clarity in God’s Word

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

I can speak but my thoughts are muddled

I can walk but each step feels unsure

I can breathe but sometimes my heart plays the wrong note

But I know I’ll always find clarity in God’s Word

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

I can smell but fragrance is diluted

I can smile but there’s a loneliness within

I can shed tears even when I’m not sad

But I know I’ll always find clarity in God’s Word

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

I can understand but it’s hard to retain

I can sleep but I awaken still tired

I can venture out but everything has to be well planned

But I know I’ll always find clarity in God’s Word

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

I can feel but my heart likes to quickly close

I have friends but I find it hard to socialize

Fogginess in my head, it leads to overload

But I praise God for the clarity of His Word

Prayers lifted for all trying to cope with illness which has affected their precious senses and ability to lead a ‘normal’ life.

Illness that sometimes others don’t see, don’t comprehend … don’t believe in your story.  God knows and believes.  He loves you dearly.

No matter what happens in your life … there will always be one constant.  He never changes and He will always answer prayer from a humble heart.

The Melody of Heaven

sun rays through clouds

And when He marches over that triumphant Hill

And my heart keeps time with each perfect beat of His will

I’ll know my Saviour loves me melodiously still

For He’s written my hymn in Heaven with His golden quill

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

And each note, it bears my earthly name

As He calls again and again, always the same

Come unto Me, when you’re weary, exhausted, lame

I’ll fill your emptiness with pureness of angelic frame

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

So angelic chords fill my now joyous days

‘Cause Jesus met me and mercifully showed me His ways

Bid me come, join the finest of psaltery rays

And sing praises under His loving, kind gaze

There’s a Hidden Name in Every Thorn

el camino, roses 7th March, 2013 040

Every time we hurt someone,

Every time we turn away,

Every time we distance ourselves,

Causes more anguish … we have an urgent need to pray.

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

For each little cruel, silent thought,

And each little unseen smirk,

Each little share in ‘innocent’ gossip,

Causes pain in the everlasting Father’s work.

*       *       *       *       *       *       *

And we are all at some time guilty,

And we have all caused others to mourn,

So look very closely at the rose that presents,

For there’s a hidden name in every thorn.

His Death, Our Life

the cross

Pierced by hatred
Pierced by thorns
Crowned with pain
He died for all

Unrelenting agony
Suffered He for us
Torn, jagged flesh
Whipped with cruel bone

Life, it left Him
Emptying, abandoning
Covering every sin upon Him
Crimson, yet spotless, He bled for me

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide
In bondage to those nails
A prisoner; but free
Fulfilling the will of the Father

May we never cease to cherish
That cherished moment
When He cried, “It is finished”
Glory to God in Heaven, forever shall be
