Give me a heart to love You, Lord
A heart that will always care
Care when I can’t feel Your presence, Lord
But knows You’re forever there
Give me a heart that can love You, Lord
A heart that without You can’t love
Love when the skies are in darkness, Lord
But knows the sweet blessings above
Give me a heart that is able, Lord
To love You unconditionally
Something I could never do, Lord
Unless Your Spirit’s made His home in me
Oh! Give me a heart to love You, Lord
As only Love’s love can love
Bind it with chords of tenderness, Lord
Lift it heavenward on the wings of the Dove

Thanks Skye … it did have a chorus … but I admit to adding it four months after writing original verses … just didn’t flow so removed it … I’m a lot happier with the first version. Blessings xxx

Love is not a mustering. It is a commodity delivered to the lowly from Christ’s great Storehouse. And for the simple asking. And re-examined as to its worth and use in the mirror of the Gospels.

May we be found at His feet … may we forever be humble … may we always be receptive to His love … may we always realize His love in trial or blessing.

As I look around I see that my only Friend is the Spirit of Christ operating in others; my only Enemy the spirit of darkness.

These are powerful words Doug … one Kingdom, one kingdom … the only middle ground is the battlefield … and that battle is already won … praise God for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. To God be the glory.
