fireworks the festival new year's day

And as the year dwindles to time unknown
We sit and contemplate all we have known …

Throughout the year that has just passed us by
Think of friends we have lost, sweet loved ones we’ve watched die

Time does not stop and let us disembark from our life’s line
We may not have escaped pain, we see our age in decline …

But many have witnessed kindness, compassion and found much joy
Helping one another through the terrors out to destroy

Marriages, births, birthdays, anniversaries, our love on cards we explain
And the birth and death of our Saviour is remembered once again …

Yes, 2020 will soon be another diary’s memory
To all my dear blogging friends, may 2021 be blessed and forever cheery

  1. We have great hope before us no matter how the bleak the future may look at times; our God of hope makes all the difference and all that comes our way is from His hand for our very best. May your 2015 be richly blessed with His inexhaustible grace and new beginnings.

    1. Corina … your beautiful comment is such a sweet blessing to the start of the new year … sometimes we (I) wonder what others really think as my comments are from the ‘faithful’ circle (yes, they are so very, very precious to me) … what I am trying to say is thank you … it’s so lovely to hear from you (out of the blue) … hope I am saying all the right things here … anyway … sending many blessings to you and your loved ones and may this year be truly wonderful for you all … happy New Year xxx
