THE ROSE IN MY GARDEN (Song Lyrics)

red rose

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love

Come sit beside the rose
Come humbly, bow your head
Let fragrance emitted
Dry all the tears you’ve shed

Reach out, touch the softness
It opened just for you
And like hands from above
Says, come, I’ll make you new

My thorns will not pierce you
For they’ve already pierced
The life of dear Jesus
Upon His head they laid

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love

In His dying body
Infused with so much pain
He took all your sorrows
So you, His life, could gain

But death, it could not hold
The perfect Son of God
He’s risen, He’s risen
The dark grave could not hold

So don’t you be frightened
Of any thorny trial
All pain has been removed
Love pours from Calvary’s hill

Jesus, came to save
Jesus, came to heal
Jesus, died so we
Could in His presence, kneel

There’s a rose in my garden
Radiating the Saviour’s blood
And with dying thorns, it shadows
Flooding hearts, with Father’s love
