  1. Kathleen, I am so sorry. I have lifted prayer for Laurie and all who loved Jack. The tears started rolling even before I saw you had placed “Please Hug Them” at the bottom of the post. “A cousin wrote, “‘There is no greater love than to give one’s life for a friend.’ To save the life of your wife, the mother of your children, is such a profound, beautiful Christian act of love. He is a model for all of us.”” I am sure that scenario, that act of love and bravery was replicated across many an instance on that field of tragedy. Praise God that he loved the Lord, had assurance of eternal life, that Laurie has that assurance that he is safe and that yes, one day they will meet again.
