And when all seems like it is lost
And those that surround you, that you love at all cost
Are walking along a different road
So are unable to help you carry the load
And when there is darkness from a mountain in sight
One that cannot be conquered without a brave fight
Cry out to Him who has already trod the path
Take His hand, don’t let go, though others may laugh
And make you feel guilty, unworthy, unloved
Incapable to surrender all cares to above
Reach out, reach out, step in time with the Saviour
The mountain can’t harm you with Jesus your Saviour
That mountain that threatens your very existence
Creates shadows and fears, doubts and resistance
Listen within for His saving still, small voice
For you can move mountains, with Him as your source

*** NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD ***
Lovely to read this heartfelt poem once again, Liana. It really speaks of our Lord’s truth that overcomes our situations that seek to make us feel insecure and weary. Thank you.

When those “that you love at all cost Are walking along a different road” – I know that place and how doubly alone you can feel in the shadows of that mountain. Motherhood is not for the faint-hearted – but, for me, it has taught me so much about the relationship God wants with me – and how much stronger He is. I’ve been thinking of His still, small voice this week – so timely, so encouraging. Thank you!

There are many a geese around, on and in that mountain aren’t there! (http://bluecottonmemory.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/goose-chasing-2/) 🙂 So many distractions, trials, fears, questions, uncertainties etc etc … but any mother bringing their young ones up to follow in the footsteps of our Lord will always see that mountain surrounded by His glory and not as a thorny hindrance xxx
