Stones of Emptiness

rocky heart
For every stone of emptiness
That’s been placed within your heart
May pearls of love replace them
May joy mend all that’s torn apart

For every confusing moment
When your mind feels null and void
May songs sing their melody
May peace’s sweet notes fill all destroyed

For every time of painful loss
Where each breath is hard to breathe
May unconditional hope
Bind life to your past’s sorrow-wreath

For every tear stained memory
Traumas enclosed in sadness
With compassion I give you
A bouquet of roses’ gladness

Inspired by Isaiah 34:11c “ … and he shall stretch out upon it the line of confusion, and the stones of emptiness”; Genesis 1:2a “And the earth was without form, and void …” and God’s deep love for us, not wanting us to hurt.

    1. Heavenly Father, into Your hands, Your loving arms, I commit all reading this who have a need. As Kathleen says, Lord, You meet every need, according to Thy will for our lives and the lives of our loved ones, as we allow You to. Help us to let go and let God. To know that You are in complete control. That You and only You can mend broken hearts, open the eyes of the blind, make the lame to walk, open prison doors and set the captives free. There is no disease known or unknown to mankind that is too difficult for You to heal. I give You all the glory. In the precious and wonderful Name of Jesus. Amen. Love to you dear Kathleen.
