Eventide

sunset sunrise beach

No matter how dark the moment grows
How many walk away
No matter if all you can see is you
Don’t ever say
It’s no use
I can’t go on
Just know
Draw from depths once unknown
Buried far within
And know that there is One
Who loves you

Then when night-time
The night-time of your life
Draws near
Physically, mentally, spiritually
You’ll be able to say
This is me
I’m the one
This is my story
I survived
And

Deep beneath the still hush of eventide
A head rests on the Saviour’s beating heart
Going forth in the realm of distant dreams
And to Him who keeps each breath apart

It’s my head
My Saviour’s heart

There’s peace at eventide
And the gentle blush of Christ’s bride
Will be revealed

    1. Where are we without Him? … lost. Lost; but we don’t even know it. Oh! Father, please open the spiritual eyes of our unsaved loved ones. Those in our family tree, those we know, those we are unaware of. Our friends. Our acquaintances. Our neighbours. Those in our country. Any walking in darkness across the world. Only You can do it. In Jesus Name. Amen. Please do unto them as You did for us. Oh! Heal us and we shall be healed. Save us and we shall be saved. “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” Jeremiah 17:14
