When oceans of emotions run so deep
When your tears wash away all joy inside
When the sands on the shoreline blink and cry
Oh! Come unto Him, all fears lay aside
Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
When each day seems like a deserted night
When the starlight fades in the battle dim
Oh! Come unto Him, let Him fight your fight
Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
Lift your eyes, weary child, oh! lift your eyes
Yes, you may struggle; but the battle’s won
Oh! Come unto Him, in Him your strength lies
Bridge
And He will catch you, never let you fall
Yes, Jesus loves you, cares for one, for all
His arms of love cannot, will not fail
Arms that once were held with crimson nail
So
Let the winds of time echo, stop the flow
Let His breath dry every falling tear
Always remember, each child who believes
Nighttime will bring blessings and daytime near
Chorus
When oceans of emotions run so deep
When the darkness struggles, its light to keep
Lift your eyes, don’t give up, give up and sleep
’Cause underneath are the Everlasting Arms

I often wonder how you can come up with new songs so often. They must come in your dreams! How encouraging this one is! Thank you!!!

🙂 You are so sweet Kathleen. Quite often they ’emerge’ during morning prayer, or just standing in awe of His beautiful creation … there’s melody all around us isn’t there! I’d better go now, another ‘waiting to blossom’ 🙂 … God bless dear sister … there are so many precious lives you have touched, may there be many more.

Liana, thank you for sharing this beautiful comforting song! It encouraged me so much as I read it tonight and meditated on the beautiful imagery of our Lord’s everlasting arms always there holding me and His breath wiping away every tear. Your song is like a lovely, comforting lullaby from The Lord Himself. You are truly His scribe. God Bless you always for being so faithful to Him.
