Step through the door before you
Fall into the arms of grace
Through the door which bore much pain
And where sin marred Beauty’s face
And when you’re through, praise the Lord
With opened eyes, all is new
Mercy that you’ve never seen
Waiting to envelop you
Chorus
Oh! Stepping into grace
Sweet grace
’Tis where the Saviour guides
He guides
Do not be afraid
Or question why
Just believe that’s where
Eternity hides
And His forever love abides
His forever love abides
And it’s all of God, this gift
One gift that bears so many
Day after day His blessings
No need to pay for any
With each new changing dawning
Each breath through the turning sky
The depths of His love aplenty
Will to His heart draw you nigh
Chorus
Oh! Stepping into grace
Sweet grace
’Tis where the Saviour guides
He guides
Do not be afraid
Or question why
Just believe that’s where
Eternity hides
And His forever love abides
His forever love abides
There will be days when you cry
And call His name silently
Unable to comprehend
Love that died on Calvary
Read His word and praise His Name
Be grateful eternally
Give thanks in everything
Love unconditionally
Chorus
Oh! Stepping into grace
Sweet grace
’Tis where the Saviour guides
He guides
Do not be afraid
Or question why
Just believe that’s where
Eternity hides
And His forever love abides
His forever love abides
And joy will fill your being
In times of gladness or woe
The gift of grace Jesus gives
Will compel new seeds to grow
Yes, grace, grace, merciful grace
Woven in ways of pure gold
Etched upon each child of God
From world, through door, to His fold
Chorus
Oh! Stepping into grace
’Tis where the Saviour guides
Do not be afraid or question why
Just believe that’s where eternity hides
And His forever love abides
His forever love abides

We tend to think that we will march right into grace because we deserve it. Genuine faith is more like stumbling into grace where we feel Jesus’ arms rescuing us and holding us firm in His love!

Comforting words for those in situations out of their control. Often we are driven to hardship before we can begin to trust God.
