THE BLANKET OF SWEET LOVE (A Song)

dove and heart
You’ve knitted me together
So very beautifully
Embroidered me with peace and joy
And signed Your Name as Love

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn so many pictures
Of laughter, trials and pain
Some scenes are surrounded with gold
Others are barely seen

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

You’ve sewn a time for singing
You’ve sewn a time for life’s storms
And yet they make me what I am
A masterpiece of Thy Son

Bridge
I am His
And He is mine
I’m woven with the threads of time
Bound with love that cannot break
Bound with glory for eternity’s sake

Chorus
Words cannot give
What You have given me
The wonders of the sunset
The treasures of the sea
Soft colours of the morning
Bright colours of the eve
All interwoven from above
The blanket of sweet love

My substance was not hid from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Psalm 139:15 KJV

Strongs 7551 … wrought
embroiderer, needlework, curiously work
A primitive root; to variegate color, i.e. Embroider; by implication, to fabricate — embroiderer, needlework, curiously work

  1. Solomon wrote -“The curves of her hips are as beautiful as a jewel,
the work of the hands of an artist.” The Lord is the artist of our lives in every way, body, soul and spirit. He creatively weaves our lives together for His joy and purpose. Every stitch sown in His perfect love.
Thankfully some are beginning to reflect that truth. Thanks for the song from your heart…
