HE’S HOLDING THE DOOR OPEN FOR YOU (A Song, A Plea)

doors and windows picture 7

The trials of rain are afalling
Thundery storms of life, they accrue
Are you looking around about you
And wondering what others will do

Chorus
‘cause He’s holding the door open for you
It won’t stay open forever, today
He’s calling softly, softly, child enter
Just follow my footprints, I’ll lead you through

The waters are arising and fast
The sounds of His voice may disappear
Oh! As much as you love your loved ones
‘Tis your soul that must answer and hear

Chorus
‘cause He’s holding the door open for you
It won’t stay open forever, today
He’s calling softly, softly, child enter
Just follow my footprints, I’ll lead you through

And know that as you take that last step
And cross His bloodline of salvation
There you’ll find sweet comfort, no fear
Saying goodbye, worldly temptation

Chorus
‘cause He’s holding the door open for you
It won’t stay open forever, today
He’s calling softly, softly, child enter
Just follow my footprints, I’ll lead you through

Oh! The waves will still be apounding
But no longer upon weakened frame
‘cause you’re now safe in His loving arms
And nothing will ever be the same

Chorus
‘cause He’s holding the door open for you
It won’t stay open forever, today
He’s calling softly, softly, child enter
Just follow my footprints, I’ll lead you through

    1. Yes, ’tis so sad, many believe they must do this or do that, be a better person, be a cleaner person etc etc before they bow down and surrender their lives unto their Creator, when the footprints of Jesus fit each and every one of our ‘steps’ … there is nothing too great that He cannot heal us/save us… come as you are.
