WHY ARE YOU GRIEVING SO? (A Song of Unconditional Love)

WHY ARE YOU GRIEVING SO

Chorus
Why are you grieving so?
Tell Me, My child, that I may know
O I already know; but I need you to know
That I know, O how I know

I know the cry of your desperate heart
I know when you rise up early with the lark
Crying, crying, emptying
All the tears that I’ve ever given thee
Call upon Me, I’ll dry them
I’ll dry them, trust Me, just trust Me

Chorus
Why are you grieving so?
Tell Me, My child, that I may know
O I already know; but I need you to know
That I know, O how I know

I know the pain of losing a loved one
Unable to face another day alone
Can’t remember where joy lives
There’s a hole which gets deeper day by day
But I have come to fill you
With heaven’s love and forever stay

Chorus
Why are you grieving so?
Tell Me, My child, that I may know
O I already know; but I need you to know
That I know, O how I know

  1. “I need you to know that I know” – sometimes I so need to know that someone understands the breaking of my heart – and why – and this poem so says that, so understands that! Not just beautiful – but so. awesome, true.
