Shifting Sideways

Shifting SidewaysWhen my thoughts are
Shifting sideways
Pull me back Lord
Help me see
Nothing but pure love
Can save me
Nothing in the world
Just Thee

When my words are
Shifting sideways
Hurting others
Though I can’t see
Put a guard upon
My mouth Lord
May they give glory
Unto Thee

When my actions are
Shifting sideways
Accomplishing nought
For the Kingdom of God
Place a hedge
And guard my footsteps
Bring them back
In line with Thee

    1. Hello Sue … thank you so much for your encouraging comment … only discovered this tiny, little bird and its nest a little while before leaving our holiday unit … couldn’t believe it … it had been there all along within arm’s reach of our balcony. It was so windy at times; but the nest held firm. It was barely big enough for the sweet little thing; but she sat there with pride, presumably awaiting arrival of her young. Safe in the arms of the Saviour amidst the turmoil around her … xxx
