The Purpily Wurpily Umbrella (A Children’s Poem)

Rain Umbrella
Purpily Wurpily
One two three
Purple umbrella
So useful is he

Always there
In rain or shine
I’m so happy
That he is mine

One day though
The raindrops stayed
The sun was out
But he no longer played

What’s the matter
Little Purpily Blue
Why the sad face
I have nothing to do!

The grey skies are gone
So I cry my own rain
You don’t need me now
And my heart’s all in pain

I do need you … I do
The sun, it a-beats down
So very hot hot on my head
But you’re my protective crown
My purple crown … … Enough said
